Now that I have staved off any legal stuff...here is the fic
Later after seeing the body of the now deceased Dr Billy Kronk in the mens room, the body was moved down to the morgue area of the hospital. As predicted by Danny Nyland not much of an autopsy could be done on the body. What was left of it anyway. Nyland stood in the corner and watched the Scully perform what professional autopsy she could considering the state of the corpse. An officer by the name of "Tresjolie" had accomplanied the body on its trip to the morgue and now stood guard near to door, preventing and nefarious people from entering. Nyland had been making eyes at the female officer ever since then.
"Name: Doctor William Kronk. Age: unknown." Dana said after switching the recorder on. "Height and weight could not be determind due to the status of the subject in question." Dana noted while poking around. She stopped when she found something buried within the body cavity. She turned to Nyland who was busy trying to get the officers phone number. "Doctor Nyland, I would be appreciative of some assistance." She said loudly.
"I'll talk to you later." Danny said to the officer then came over to the table. "What? I almost scored there."
Scully said nothing. "I found this on the body. There is no way that it could have gotten there by itself."
"So?" Nyland shrugged. "Why ask me? You came with a partner, Mulberry wasnt it? Ask him. He seemed to know what he was talking about."
"He is talking with your chief of staff and some other people. I was hoping you would help me but then again you would rather get that police officers phone number than help me find out who killed one of your fellow doctors. I can do this by myself but I would prefer to have a little help in telling me why anything like this was found in the body. I wouldnt mind if I knew what it is either."
"Okay. Catwoman." Danny made a growling noise. Scully rolled her eyes. "Actually I know who can help with this. No kidding. Come on."
Upstairs
Phillip Watters sat across from Agent Mulder. Jeffrey and Aaron joined him.
"I don't know what we can tell you that we already don't know about Kronks death." Watters said to Mulder.
"I was just wondering if anything else has occured around here in the last few weekse to suggest anything could have lead up to what had happened." Mulder said. "But based on the public track record this hospital has kept I don't think the answer is yes."
"Theres been things happening all right." Jeffrey said. "But nothing that has anything to do with what happened to Kronk this afternoon."
"Yes but...." Mulder said when there was a shriek in the hallway.
All four men looked up and headed out into the hallway.
Dana Scully sat idly by and watched research doctor Diane Grad examine the "thing" she had brought her to study. Nyland managed to get her to drop her important AIDS study in order to look at something that was of far more importance.
"This is a pod of some kind." Diane finally determined after several minutes of study. "But whatever it was supposed to be is now dead. Its like a small embryo of some type. Does this have to do with Billys uh accident?"
"Yes." Scully said.
"Its the pod of a dead fluke." Diane said. "I can't tell you much else but except the next victim this finds may actually have some live tissue in it."
"I was hoping you wouldn't say next victim. We were hoping to not have this happen again. Scullys cell phone rang. She popped it out of her purse and flipped it open with one slick move.
"Scully." She said.
"Scully get down here." Mulder said. "We've found another victim."
Scully closed her phone and headed for the door.
