Scavenger Hunt:

"Hide And Seek"

Partridge Land

Shirley Partridge cooked dinner, she invited the two new "backup" singers to join them, around six that night. It was a wonderful lamb roast. Enough for a whole family. Davy thought it was nice of the mom to invite them to dinner since they were so far from home. Brianna and Davy were there to grab the little girls tambourine as part of a scavenger hunt started by their friends Chea and Micky. They arrived there a few hours earlier, but a small problem arose in the appearance of one Keith Partridge.
Brianna stared in awe of them as they had sung the first few songs on their new album, including the classic I think I love you. The two in question stared at each other during the entire rendition of it. This made Davy very nervous since they were one of the three "couples" that populated the Monkee universe.
Davy watched Brianna and Keith talk at the dinner table. Davy got the unfortunate luck of sitting next to Danny, the red haired smart-mouth of the family.
"This shows answer to Micky, I suppose." Davy mused as Danny stared at him.
"What kinda weird name is Davy Bowie anyway?" He asked.
"Danny!" Shirley said.
"Well I wanna know. I haven’t heard that name very often, except in history class. In school when we go." Danny said eating his potatoes.
"You don't have to answer that." Laurie said looking kinda of moonstruck at Davy. He didn't notice, for he was thinking more of the way that Brianna and Keith seemed to be bonding.
"It's a family name." Davy said.
"Weird family." Danny said.
"I'm from England." Davy explained.
"Oh, that explains everything." Danny replied.
"This was a very nice dinner Mrs. Partridge." Brianna said.
"Thank you." Shirley said.
"Yeah mom." Keith agreed.
"I need a little air." Davy said.
"Check him." Danny said. "He might have scurvy."
Davy ignored him.
"I'll come with." Brianna said not taking her eyes off Keith. He smiled at her as she left.

Outside

"What’s going on Brianna?" Davy asked.
"What do you mean?" Brianna asked.
"You and that...that bird guy." Davy said.
"There’s nothing between me and Keith if that’s who you mean." Brianna asked.
"Seems different to me, and any casual observer!"
"Well I..." Brianna looked up. A smile slowly crossed her face. "You're jealous aren’t you?"
"What me? Jealous?" Davy said. "Doesn't happen to me."
"It is isn’t it?" Brianna said. "You are so jealous of Keith Partridge."
"I'm not!" Davy said huffing a little bit. Brianna looked at him. "Okay so I am."
"Davy." Brianna said. "I dunno about Keith but I liked you a lot when I got here."
"What do you mean?" Davy said a little confused.
"Okay, in my real life...the real world...this guy was my first ever celebrity crush. Him and Alan Alda." Brianna explained. "I had never heard the Monkees till I got here, remember?" Davy nodded in agreement. "David Cassidy, the actor who plays Keith, was the only thing that got me through most of my moves, my new schools. All of those first days in a strange place. But that all changed when I grew up. I no longer needed Keith or David." She said. "When I came to your world you were the first man I saw besides the jerk ice cream guy. Just seeing you made me feel all right for some strange reason." Brianna said.
"But what about in there..."
"Well I know it seems like I'm in love with him now. I'm not though. He doesn’t have the same effect that you do on me." Brianna said. "I wanna be with you."
Davy smiled.
"Just remember, if it happens again, that there is only one teen idol I'm going to be with, and that is the guy with the time gadget." Brianna kissed him on the cheek.
"Thanks, I feel a lot better." Davy said. "Let's go get that tambourine and get out of here. Before they notice we're gone."
"Okay." Brianna said as they snuck into the garage. They saw a spare tambourine on a box. Davy snatched it quickly so tiny cymbals wouldn’t make a sound. He put it in the satchel that Mike and Karen had.
"That was easy." Davy said. "Let's hope Mike and Karen having just an easy time with our lovebirds!"

Friends - 10 am

Mike and Karen woke up groggy from their sleep. They had expected to sleep on a street corner. It was lucky for them that Joey was out around midnight trolling the street for the earliest copies of Variety. He found them on a bench and invited them to sleep in his bed. Mike accepted but insisted that Karen take the bed alone. He was a little bit nervous about sharing a bed with her when there were thousands, well maybe two, possibilities of what might happen. A game of rock paper scissors ensued to judge who would get the couch and who would get the floor. Rachel these days was living in the apartment. It had been that way since Chandler and Monica been together. Mike got the floor, with nothing but his trusty wooly to keep him comfy.
Karen found him sprawled on the floor.
"You look nice and rested." She said.
"This guy lives like a pig!" Mike said. "This is a fine leather chair but under it is a gum collection big enough to keep third grade kids chewing for days."
"What a great image." Karen moaned. "Are we alone."
"Yea." Mike said sitting up. "Everyone went to work or Central Perk."
"Good we can talk then." Karen said.
"What’s the plan?" Mike asked.
"Ok, number one, we can safely assume that Brianna and Davy are well on whatever world they went to right?" Karen asked.
"Right." Davy said dusting off his hat.
"So they are ok. I wonder what Micky and Chea are doing right now." Karen mused.
"Who knows. Technically they got both places to themselves." Mike laughed.
"Yeah." She said.
"What do we do about Peter?" Mike asked.
"I don't know." Karen said. "I've never seen anyone fall so hard and so fast for anyone in my life." Mike gave her a look. "I mean other than Davy before he met Brianna."
They got up and went out the door. Karen closed it behind her.
"Let's go see if we can find them." Mike proposed. "If there’s a right answer it will turn up somewhere."

Central Perk

Mike and Karen ran to Central Perk. Luckily the breakfast rush was just ending. Peter and Phoebe sat on the big red couch. Karen watched them talk. They looked so cute. She looked over at Mike.
"I been thinking." Karen said.
"Me too." Mike said.
"There’s no reason why we cant leave Peter here and come back for him when the hunt is over." Karen proposed. "After all, that will give him all the time in the world with Phoebe."
"You think he will go for it?" Mike asked.
"Look at him." Karen said. "In these pasts months have you ever seen him more happy than he is right now?" Mike shook his head. "Then why should we have to be the ones to take that away from him."
"We'll do it, but you have to admit, it might be even tougher to get him to come back when the hunt is over." Mike said.
"Let's burn that bridge when we get to it." Karen smiled. "Peter!" Karen called as they walked over.
"Yeah?" Peter asked. He looked a little hesitant.
"We have something to tell you." Mike said.
"Yeah?" Peter replied. Phoebe took his hand. "What?"
"How would you like to stay here for awhile?" Karen asked.
"Stay with Phoebe?" Peter asked.
"Till the scavenger hunt is over." Mike said. "Then you can come back here whenever you want to."
"I'd love that." Peter said. "I'll see you guys later." He got up with Phoebe. "Phoebe wants to take me something they call a discothèque!"
They walked hand and hand out the door. Mike and Karen soon followed and stopped in their usual spot in the alley.
"Doing stuff like that makes the heart feel good." Karen said as they sat down. "What can we do now?"
"According to the device, the others are still on partridge world." Mike said as they consulted the device. "They might be leaving soon."
"I know the next stop on the list." Karen said. "We can catch up with them and plot the next move."
"Cool." Mike said. "We'll just wait for them there." They punched in the code for next stop. They were gone in an instant.

Davy and Brianna left the garage. They were about to put in the new code for the next stop when Brianna saw Keith Partridge leave the house. He walked over to the duo.
"Leaving so soon?" Keith said. Brianna smiled. Since she confessed her teenage crush to Davy for the singer in the garage, he suddenly had no affect on her what-so-ever.
"Oh yeah, we have to go home." Brianna said. "It just didn't work out. Sorry."
"Yeah." Davy said.
"That’s ok." Keith said. "We're better off. Maybe now Danny will stop complaining."
Brianna laughed. Two girls walking along the street stopped in front of them.
"Its him!" One said.
"Ah." Davy said. "Me public." He smiled as he got ready to sign an autograph.
"Keith!!!" The girls said. Keith completely freaked out and ran back to the house. The two girls followed him over to the front door.
"Please sign this!" The other girl cried. "Make it out to Jean!!!"
Davy sighed. "Oh well."
"Come on. You gotta be a little glad you're not being chased by the girls for a change." Brianna said.
"Yeah, but suddenly I miss it!" Davy whined.
"You got me, your number one fan." Brianna said. "That oughta be enough."
"It is." Davy said. They ducked behind a garage. "So shall we go?"
"We shall." Brianna agreed. Davy punched in the new world. They were gone in an instant.

New York

Davy and Brianna appeared behind a bar. "Ok. What’s the list say about this place."
"I dunno. I think I left it somewhere." Brianna said.
"Hey!" They heard someone behind them. Brianna turned, and almost ran into someone.
"Hey." She said. "What are you doing here?"
