Ricahrd got a closer look at the sheet of paper as it came closer to him. It was very clear that the paper had been a photocopy. Caroline looked at the paper and read. "Dear Caroline."
Richard winced. Annie said she had all the photcopies! "Where did you get that?" He asked.
"I found it under your desk as I was cleaning this morning." Caroline said as she folded the letter. "Do you still feel this way?" She said as she walked toward him. "Do you still love me?"
Richard did not answer.
"Do you?" Caroline pressed.
Richard walked to her. He took his hand and wiped away a tear that now glistened on her cheek. She closed her eyes and savored the feel of his hand skimming across her cheek."It's always been you, Caroline." He pulled her close and kissed her. His arms wrapped tightly around her as he kissed her like no one has ever been kissed before. It was like being pulled into a stong current, powerful and relentless. Caroline could feel his body heat against hers. As quickly as it had started, it ended. Caroline pulled away gently and looked into Richards face. "Can we work on this later?" She said as she tried to recover from the power of the kiss. Richard wiped sweat off his brow.
"What the hell." He simply said and he scooped Caroline up. "Its waited this long." He carried her to the stairs and turned the lights off.
