Brianna was flipping through her yearbook when Paul came into her part of the room they shared. His room was a dead-on look alike of Bilbo Baggins house in the Shire, and Briannas room looked like her room in high school, so it wasnt surprising her senior yearbook was there.
Brianna was closing her yearbook when she looked up and saw Paul sitting next to her.
"Hey." Paul said. "Whats that?"
"My senior yearbook." Brianna replied. "I was the only freshman in the senior class. Kinda made school a little difficult. Being a army brat didnt help. I moved around all the time. This was the last school I went to before I went to college."
"Must have been an interesting time." Paul said.
"It was, but it was hard too. I didn't have any friends my own age and the seniors I attended class with made me feel so unwanted." Brianna sniffed. "I never even went to the senior prom."
"Why not?" Paul asked.
Brianna shrugged. "I never thought of it. I don't think anyone would have asked me. Besides, I don't think I really missed anything."
"Then why do you keep looking at that yearbook?" Paul asked. "When I came in you looked like you were daydreaming."
She smiled. "There was a guy in that class, Rick, who I really crushed on. He was a tailback on the football team. I saw all of his games and I don't really like football." She blushed. "I always wanted him to ask me, and I dreamt that my prom would be like the one in Pretty in Pink. Andrew McCarthy and Molly Ringwald." She put her book away. "But me turning out more like Ducky with no girl to dance with."
"I've seen that movie." Paul said. "After Andie leaves some girl shows interest in Ducky."
Brianna thought about it for a second. "Yeah, thats what happened." She got up. "Time for dreaming is over." She put the book away.
"Not quite." Paul smiled. "How would you like to go to you perfect senior prom?"
"Really? How?"
"We can make it happen with the time gadget. We will look for your perfect prom and dance." Paul said taking her hand.
"Maybe even win prom queen?" Brianna said perking up.
"We can do that." Paul said. "I think you are my queen, of everything, not just the prom." He smiled. "Wanna do it?"
"Let's!" Brianna smiled as he led her away. "I think
I even know where the gadget is."
Paul looked at Brianna as she got the time gadget out of Cheas hiding place.
"So where to first?" Paul asked.
"What about a dress?" Brianna asked. "Wait, when we go to most places, we get magically outfitted to the situation." She said out loud. "Or I could make my own." She went to a new Cosmo that was lying on the couch and flipped open to a dress. "This is nice." She put in all the information that the gadget required. A small flash of light appeared and the dress, perfectly sized of course was on the bed. She took it off the bed and dashed into the one of the bathrooms. She put on the dress and fluffed up her hair. A few smears of makeup were applied and she came out of the bathroom. Paul was wearing a tie-less tuxedo.
"You look nice." Paul said. "Very prom queenly."
"You look good too." Brianna as Paul slipped a multi colored corsage onto her wrist.
"The finishing touch." He proclaimed. "Its prom time. Where to first?"
"Here." She punched in the coordinates of the first place. "Here we go." She smiled and took Pauls hand. She pushed the button."
As the duo vanished a head poked into the room they were in. He came further into the room.
"I thought I heard voices." Davy said to Livvie as she followed him in.
"Me too." Livvie said. "I wonder where they went."
"I don't think she knows I'm back yet." Davy sighed. "I'll wait for her to come back with her new friend." He smiled. "I can't wait to see her again." He got something out of his pocket. "I even got her a gift."
Livvie thought for a moment. "If they went somewhere with the time gadget then maybe we can track them. It won't be able to find them till they are in one place a long time but we can give it a shot."
"Wonderful." Davy said leaving the room with
Livvie "I think I'd rather surprise her anyway. I'll give it some thought." He patted Livvie on the arm and went into the living room.
Livvie sighed and followed him. Davy was back, and with a gift, but what would this mean for Briannas blossoming friendship with Paul? I guess they would find out when she came back.
