Briannas Perfect Prom Part Three

Brianna and Paul walked into a gymnasium. It was barely lit but they could see well in it.
"So where are we now?" Paul asked.
"According to this thing we are in a prom in the mid seventies." Brianna said consulting the time gadget. "It's not so bright in here." "No." She looked around. "I can hardly see." She got knocked to the side by a girl running by with pig tails in her hair. "Because I made you, you somehow have seen the same movies I have. That was a pigtailed girl with a baseball cap on."
"Hmm." Paul thought. "Nothing comes to mind." He took Briannas hand. "I think our dance was interuppted by a jerk." He reminded her.
"Yeah, lets start where we left off." Brianna said as they started to slow dance. They glided around the room to a soft seventies song she couldn't name. She put her head on Pauls shoulder. She then looked over his shoulder and saw them. "Paul?"
"What?" Paul asked. She stopped dancing and moved away. Paul gave her a questioning look and turned to see what she gestured to.
"I know where we are now." Brianna said. The music stopped and someone at the stage took the microphone. "Lets get close to the stage." She took Pauls hand and moved close to the stage. Paul stared at her as she made he way through the crowd. "Where are we?"
"Carrie!" Brianna said. "Oh only funny fate would land us in a horror movie prom." She sighed.

The man had already made an announcement of who won prom queen. Course since Brianna remembered the movie in detail she knew the voting was rigged so that the class meanies could pull the ultimate prank on poor Carrie. But then thats where everything hit the fan!

Brianna saw Carrie being led to the stage by her prom date, a guy who might have actually liked her; you could never really tell. Brianna followed them up the stairs, trying to appear as if she was helping Carrie with her silk dress. A woman hugged her and they put the crown on her head. She smiled, unaware of what was about to happen. Brianna saw in the crowd the girl who would have warned her about it being kept at bay by a teacher, one of Carries few friends. She must have thought she was a part of it. Brianna then looked up and saw the bucket wiggle then dump its contents. She ran up and pushed Carrie out of the way. The buckets contents splashed all over Brianna. She was now covered in red, red pigs blood.
Carrie looked at her in shock. "Are you all right?"
"I don't know, have any club soda?" Brianna sighed looking at her outstretched hands. It may have been her imagination but she felt she tasted kayo syrup, a famous substitute for blood.
Carrie laughed a little bit but stopped as the bucket that held the blood cacked her date in the head. Carrie looked at Brianna who had her hands on her mouth.
"Ok ow." Brianna said.
Carrie leaned down to him, he was out cold but all right. Carrie looked up at Brianna.
"I think you better go." Carrie said as she got a strange look in her eye. "Now."
Brianna nodded. It wasn't the blood that set Carrie off on her destructive streak, or PMS for that matter, but the fact that someone hurt the one guy who liked her was a little too much.
"See you later." Brianna said. "Get the ponyhair chick too, she has no idea how to say excuse me!" Brianna said running off the stage. She grabbed Pauls hand.
"Shouldn't we stop this?" Paul said as Brianna tried to haul rear out of the gym.
"It would be like trying to stop a freight train, an avalance, the next season of American idol; in a strange way its meant to be." Brianna said as they ran out the door. "I think we oughta go to our next stop." She said punching the buttons as they ran out. "Hopefully its not another horror movie prom."
"How about Prom Night one or two?" Paul asked. "Those were weird."
"Don't encourage it." Brianna said while hitting the button to activate the time gadget. "Here we go again!"
