TO After Ross Says Rachel "missing" Chandler/Monica scenes MONICA: Well, we certainly are alone. CHANDLER (gets an apple of out the refrigerator): Yes. Good thing we have that “not in New York” rule. MONICA: Right. Um…listen, since we’re--we’re on that subject, um, I just wanted to tell you that, um—well, I was going through a really hard time in London, what with my brother getting married, and that guy thinking I was Ross’s mother. CHANDLER: Right. MONICA: Well, anyway, I just—that night meant a lot to me, and I guess I’m trying to say thanks. CHANDLER: Oh. You know, that night meant a lot to me, too. And it wasn’t ‘cause I was in a bad place or anything. It just meant a lot to me, ‘cause…you’re really hot. CHANDLER: Is that okay? MONICA: That’s okay. CHANDLER: And I’m cute, too. MONICA: And you’re cute, too. CHANDLER: Thank you. CHANDLER: Alright. I gotta go unpack. MONICA: Okay. CHANDLER (leaving): Bye. CHANDLER: I’m still on London time. Does that count? MONICA: Oh, that counts. CHANDLER: Oh, good. MONICA: Oh my god. CHANDLER: I’ll say. MONICA: Had that apple in your pocket, didn’t you? CHANDLER (smiling): Yep. MONICA: What’s the matter? CHANDLER (slightly apprehensive): Nothing. I just--are you sure about this? MONICA: Oh, yeah. CHANDLER (happily): Okay. MONICA: What are you doing? CHANDLER (begins to write): Making sure we don’t get interrupted. MONICA: God, you’re brilliant. MONICA: Want to go to the bedroom? CHANDLER: Okay. *************************************************** If this next scene were to take place on network television, there would be strategically placed objects in the way, and the camera would most likely remain waist up. You can picture whatever you like. :) MONICA: You know, I’ve been thinking. CHANDLER: You had time to think? CHANDLER: What were you thinking about? MONICA (looks down for a second, lightly rubbing his chest): Just that, you know…we should have done this a long time ago. MONICA: You know, you’re kind of sweaty. You should probably take a shower before you go back to your apartment. CHANDLER (raising his eyebrows): That’s…not a bad idea. CHANDLER: What? MONICA: Nothing. CHANDLER: *What*? MONICA: It’s just—I know we’ve been together…eleven times now, but…it’s just…this is the first time I’ve gotten the…the *full* body view. CHANDLER: And you’re laughing. That’s great. MONICA: No! No, I just—I’m sorry. Come here. CHANDLER: Ha ha ha ha ha. MONICA (stands up quickly, smiling): Okay. We’re even. (motioning to the shower) Come on. CHANDLER: Guess I better go. MONICA: Yeah. MONICA: You think you can come back? I mean, after Joey’s asleep? CHANDLER: What if Rachel comes home? MONICA: I don’t know. We could just cross that bridge when-- MONICA: Maybe that’s her. Hello? Ross! MONICA: She did what? Oh my god. Uh huh. Uh huh. What? So…when will she be home? Oh, god. I can’t believe you--yeah. Yeah. Okay. So I guess we’ll see you when we see you? Alright, hang in there. Good luck. Bye. CHANDLER: What happened? MONICA: Emily didn’t show up at the airport, so Rachel was going to go with Ross to keep him company, but when they were getting on the plane, Emily showed up, then took off again when she saw Rachel. So Ross went after Emily while Rachel got stuck on the plane. She’s on her way to Greece right now, all by herself, and Ross still can’t find Emily. He’s been all over London. Again. CHANDLER: Oh, wow. MONICA: I know, I can’t believe it. CHANDLER: Yeah, that’s really…really…too bad. MONICA: I know. Poor Rachel. And Ross. MONICA: So you think you can spend the night? CHANDLER: That’d be great. CHANDLER (kisses her on the cheek): See you in a little while. MONICA: Yeah. Oh! MONICA: Good thing you found your wallet. That airport is a big place. CHANDLER (grins): See you later.
