It was a few a months after the new year. Things were getting back to normal. Over time the girls found they were using the gadget less and less. Karen had the theory that they had seen everything they wanted to for a while. It was time to settle down in the period of time they wanted to live in. Besides occasional visits to Cheas mom, it had been pretty quiet, and talk of an actual album had been started up.
Plus it was time for the more important, soon to happen any day now wedding of Mike and Karen.
The guys agreed it would be any day now they would start making solid plans. They had to get enough money first. Any money they got off of gigs and Cheas record job, they used on bills, then split the rest of it 8 ways. Chea got something she had been wanting to get since her adventures with the crew began, a diary to write it down in. Some day, should they look on it, it would be unbelievable to anyone they told about their time journeys. It would be a good idea to have a written record of them.
Chea, after a nice dinner date with Micky, went upstairs and turned to page one. She hid the diary in a secret place, even more secret than the time gadget. She kept it hidden under a floorboard under her bed. It was in no danger of being discovered. She chose the place and then in order to keep Karen, Brianna or even possibly Livvie from looking at it, she promised to keep the area tidy. Karen wasnt so sure and was certain shed had to vacuum underneath the bed in a week, but Chea kept her promise and Karen hasnt mentioned it since.

"Dear Diary." Chea wrote. "Its finally getting back to normal around here. Routines are being found and adapted to. I just hope it doesn’t become boring!
"I got you, dear diary, so I would have someone to tell all that happens to us. So I can have something to hold on to when I get older. Something to look back on these days. These are days to remember!
"Lets see, what do I tell you? Oh I had a great dinner with Micky. He brought me down to the beach and had a picnic ready for me. He baked some clams and had some very lovely cheesecake, from a seaside restaurant that we both love. It was so romantic. We actually hadn’t had a moment to ourselves for a while. Between jobs, gigs and time adventures, we sort of lost touch. Hopefully it'll get better. I love him so much. I'd hate to lose him since the reason I came here in the first place was him. Only him.
"Karen and Mike are going to get married as soon as we get enough money. They want a very simple ceremony with just us friends and a priest as witness. Brianna and Davy are getting closer. He’s still teaching her to swim. She will learn, he promises, as soon as she graduates out of the water wings!
I'm concerned about Livvie, however. She seems very unhappy since arriving from 1906. I know it takes a period of adjustment when you time travel, but unlike us, everything is new to her. Karen and Brianna and I knew about the stuff in the 60's but she’s never heard of TV or possibly indoor plumbing either. She tried to cook the other day but the toaster somehow burst into flames! It was very very strange. I feel for her. There is an atmosphere of electricity in our lives however. The tingly feeling that you get when are expecting something to happen, yet at the same time you don’t know what.
"I'll keep you posted dear diary. Till tomorrow!
Love Chea T!"
