Doctor Bashirs Personal Log
Shortly after I revived "Richard" and allowed him to take a long how shower, the one he called "Caroline" slowly revived in sick bay. He was right at her side as she slowly reawakened to the strange new world around her. The way Richard attended to her I thought they had been lovers in the past. I soon found however I was wrong.
"Richard is a great friend." Caroline said looking at him as she talked. She talked about how they worked together before the incident with the tea. After she warmed up with a shower of her own I began to relay to her the events of the last hundred years. I was midway through my speech when she interrupted.
"I wish there was a way to find out what happened to our good friends on earth." Caroline said.
"I do too Caroline but who knows how detailed things are about that period of time." Richard said.
"I think I know what can help you." Julian smiled.
The Archive Room
"So what you do is you say what file on what person you want to see and this automatically brings it up for you instantly?" Richard asked looking at the monitor Julian had set in front of him and Caroline.
"If its documented and well preserved it will be there." Julian said pointing out a few buttons.
"Boy, if Bill Gates only knew about this." Richard said to Caroline.
"Who?" Julian asked.
Richard started to look at Julian incredulously but remembered what time period he was in. "Never mind."
"Computer." Caroline said to the monitor. "Bring up all known information on Annie Spadaro and Del Cassidy." The computer beeped and brought up full biographys of both of them. "Wow, it says here according to Annies diary, and how Starfleet got ahold of Annies diary I have no idea."
"I wouldnt be surprised if she met a couple of heavenly bodies during her life." Richard said dryly.
"It says after our accident they found comfort in each other and eventually got married and lived out their lives in Pestigo of all places. Annie became the next Beverly Sills and Eagle Ereeting cards became even bigger than Hallmark! Charlie took it over when Del retired."
"Wow." Richard said.
"I know. Annie and Del together. Not exactly a pleasant image to have."
Julian leaned forward. "Now that you have caught up on your past. Its time for you to meet the future."
Richard and Caroline looked at Julian in awe.
In Quarks bar Kira and Odo were having a drink at the bar where Quark the Ferengi worked. They both sat at the bar sipping drinks. Quark was cleaning glasses as he wandered over to their side of the bar.
"I don't know which one of you looks more depressing." Quark said. "Snap out of it. Youre causing me to lose profit here."
"Your profit loss is the last thing on our minds." Kira said to Quark. "The Dominion may come back at any minute, and now we have two people from the past to figure out what to do with."
"I have two words for you," Quark leaned in closer. "Dom jot. I can always use some more workers around here. I bet they can learn quicker than you can say the twenty second rule of acquistion."
"You mean slaves don't you Quark?" Kira asked.
"You say tomato I say big latinum bonus!" Quark said as he went to serve Morn another drink.
Kira rolled her eyes as Quark went away. Odo could not help but stare at Kira as she sipped her drink. Such dark thoughts in such a beautiful mind in that beautiful head on that beautiful body. Oh what a world! Why couldnt she be a slugh worm instead of a Bajorian Goddess who is a blessing indeed.
"Stop that!" He told himself. "You don't know if she'll like you or not. For all you know she probably still has feelings for that Shakaar." He cleared his throat. It caught Kiras attention.
"Something wrong Odo?" She asked turning those inquisitive eyes toward him.
"Nothing." He said getting up. "Time to go on my tour of the station. Good day Major Kira." Odo walked away not even knowing that Kira was thinking.
"Good gods of Bajor! Will he ever notice me?"
