Maeve, the Sorcerer's Apprentice

What is there to say about Maeve? She is the greatest character in existance. Maeve is excellent because her life is a small mystery; the viewers were left to make what they will of the information they were given. We know her life's quest is to slay Rumina, that she is not interested in personal relationships, and she's every bit the warrior. Still, I know why I will always love Maeve - she is the incarnation of everything I wanted to be as a child. Maeve is beautiful, strong, independant, she has the world of magic at her finger tips, she is a friend to all animals, she sails bravely into danger every week and always survives, and she has the opportunity for love with a man respected by all the known world. Then to finish, Maeve controls all of this with a mixture of innocence, experience, mystery and most of all, determination. How can one not love Maeve? Still, no matter how I look at it, I don't think Maeve would be Maeve without Jacqueline playing her. Jacqueline brings something to the role that I don't think anyone else could have... Maeve exists because of Jacqueline, and belongs to her most of all.
