BYE BYE BYE MARIAH!... After holding on top for 3 weeks, Mariah's "Thank God I Found You" gets knocked down by the new single by 'N Sync. "Bye Bye Bye" is the first single from their new album, "No Strings Attached", and has now become one of the quickest rises to the top since TLC achieved a similar feat with "No Scrubs" last year. 'N Sync is now the record holder for the biggest jump to no. 1, leaping all the way from no. 9 and preventing labelmates Backstreet Boys from scoring their second no. 1 single with "Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely". Mariah and buddies Joe & 98° get knocked down quite a bit due to a lot of newer titles, but it's good to mention that this has become Mariah's longest running single at the top out of all her previous chart-toppers which include "Honey", "Breakdown", "My All" and "Heartbreaker".
