Chart Commentary... "Lady Marmalade" by Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Pink & Mya holds at #1 for a fifth and most likely, last week. "Pop" by *N Sync is virtually a sure bet to take over the #1 slot next week making it the group's 7th chart-topper. If so, they will become the act with the most #1 singles in the history of this chart breaking the two-way tie they currently have with Janet at six #1's each.
Speaking of Janet, this week's greatest gainer is "Someone To Call My Lover". The track jumps from #27 to #17 in only its second week on the chart making it her 11th consecutive top 20 record since 1997.
This week's highest debut is by another one of pop music's divas, Mariah Carey. "Loverboy" lands at #26 and is the first single from the soundtrack of her upcoming movie "Glitter". Other debuts include Jennifer Lopez' "I'm Real", Missy Elliott's "One Minute Man" & Blink 182's "The Rock Show".
Coming Up... Dido- "Hunter", Tyrese- "I Like Them Girls", Staind- "It's Been Awhile", Smash Mouth- "I'm A Believer", LFO- "Every Other Time", Hoku- "Perfect Day" & Jagged Edge f/ Nelly- "Where The Party At".
