BEAUTIFUL LEAD... Madonna holds firm at no. 1 this week with "Beautiful Stranger" tying "Ray Of Light" as her most successful single so far. If she can manage another week at no. 1, which is most likely, "Beautiful Stranger" will break the tie.
FIGHTING BACK... After what had seem a short stop at no. 1 for Britney Spears, "Sometimes" regains its bullet and leap-frogs over the Backstreet Boys' "I Want It That Way" which had been holding off the competition pretty well. Britney is not that far away from returning to the no. 1 spot, but Madonna will have to slow down in order for that to happen.
ANOTHER MOUSEKETEER... I just found out that Christina Aguilera, who's "Genie In A Bottle" is this week's greatest gainer, is also an ex-mouseketeer from the Disney channel. It seems as if Britney isn't the only one that comes from that show that is becoming a successful singer. Her debut single jumps up seven spots to no. 23 in its third week.
