Sneaky pop?...Janet Jackson's "Someone To Call My Lover" holds at #1 for a second week, while *N Sync replaces Destiny's Child at the runner-up position. Although it may seem as if "Pop" has gained momentum, the real reason it moves up is because it looses less points than "Bootylicious" this week. The truth is that this track has most likely peaked and thus will fail to continue the run of #1 singles the group had managed with "Bye Bye Bye", "It's Gonna Be Me" and "This I Promise You".
Elevating up the charts... This week's greatest gainer is U2's "Elevation". The remixed track, from the "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" soundtrack, moves up 7 nothces to #15 besting the peak position achieved with "Walk On", which stalled at #20 at the end of April. The Irish band is now gearing up for the US release of "Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of", which should hit radio very soon.
New entries... Making their debut this week are Jay-Z with "Izzo (H.O.V.A.)", Cake with "Short Skirt / Long Jacket", Eden's Crush with "Love This Way" and Christina Milian with "AM To PM".
Coming Up... Mariah Carey- "Never Too Far", Macy Gray f/ Erykah Badu- "Sweet Baby", P. Diddy, Black Rob & Mark Curry- "Bad Boy For Life", Samantha Mumba- "Don't Need You To (Tell Me I'm Pretty)", Jennifer Paige- "These Days", Destiny's Child- "Emotion" & U2- "Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of".
