When it comes to charts, anything is possible... Last week it seemed obvious J.Lo's "I'm Real" would succeed Janet Jackson's "Someone To Call My Lover" as the #1 title, but unexpectedly, Usher leapfrogs over her (by one of the smallest margins ever on the history of this chart) and takes the crown this week with "U Remind Me". This is Usher's first chart-topper and the follow-up to last year's #5 hit, "Pop Ya Collar".
Comeback time... This week's greatest gainer is 112's "Peaches And Cream". After dropping out of the top 40, the song makes a comeback and re-enters the chart at #22 beating out even this week's highest new entry. What reverted the fate of this single? Well, that's something I still haven't figured out, but I guess I just started enjoying it again all of a sudden.
One new entry...*N Sync's "Gone" lands at #27 this week and earns the highest debut of the week honor. The follow-up to "Pop" has been generating quite a buzz among radio programmers across the US and expectations are high for this single. The song is actually very good, but we'll have to wait and see if it lives up to regular *N Sync standards and goes all the way.
Coming Up... Michael Jackson- "You Rock My World", Destiny's Child- "Emotion", Samantha Mumba- "Don't Need You To (Tell Me I'm Pretty)", Jessica Simpson- "A Little Bit", Afroman- "Because I Got High" & Aaliyah- "Rock The Boat".
