Promotions
    From now on promotions are up to the Captains' discretion. It is the CO and XO's responsibility to confer and to submit recommendations to command every three months.  Effective immediately. All recommendations for promotion need to be logged with us first.

Any recommendations may be submitted October 1st 1998.

Storylines
    All storylines need to be submitted to command for approval. We require now three potential storylines in advance. This is to prevent the often inevitable lag in between stories that are so hard to deal with. Remember three stories in advance. Get on it people --  you have one month to supply us the three.  And remember, ANYONE can propose a storyline if they have one they'd like to share!
    Even though we have Dom back with us, Stana is still pretty busy with work (and computer problems) and on top of that, Jim is taking a leave of absence, meaning Command is in a weakened state -- we need your help more than ever to help us keep things moving with storylines already in progress, and in coming up with new ones.  Luckily, Heather has come on board to help even out the load, but we still need you guys to give us a hand.
    Anyone with story ideas, please submit them to your acting COs.  COs, please forward them to Command.

All Players:

   Our recruitment has yielded a lot of new faces! Welcome to all new players... or would that be victims? At any time you veterans players may be asked to take a new player under your wing to shepherd through the confusion of the first steps of play. Thanks to Eve for a great idea!

    Do you have ideas you would like to play out on your ship? Storylines should be submitted to the commanding officer of your vessel. Then you and your CO and XO should all discuss this idea thoroughly before the Captain submits the finalized timeline to Command.

    Again this month there have been no JAG Warnings sent out to people who have not upheld the requirements of 3 posts per character per month, but don't fool yourselves -- we know who you are!  Last month we granted a couple players diplomatic immunity of sorts due to to personal circustances, but this month we had only one -- but still we had a few people not meet the requirements.  This is a writing group -- let's write, shall we?  :)

    Finally let's all have a group hug and say goodbye to Jim, and more importantly, to the CREATOR of Legacy, Eve.  Yes, that's right, we're losing the genius behind the game -- Jim may have given it the name, but Eve started it all.  Both Jim and Eve have contributed quite a bit to the game in their time here via their main characters of Locaris and Sanys, and gave us quite a sub-plot a little over a year ago when the characters began a secret romance (that ended up being not as secret as they thought).  Eve and Jim are leaving to concentrate on other projects and we wish them all the best -- because if they get really successful they might give some of us jobs  :)

    With Training Group 3 wrapping up this past week, that only leaves Group 4 in the wings.  William nd James -- the ball is in your court!  Go save Ambassador Ryan!  Oh, and Jim would like everyone to know that the rumors are true -- Group 4's plot is actually the modified premise of Saving Private Ryan.
