Night of the Gargoyles

The moon shone brightly against the navy-blue sky. Stars twinkled gaily in the night. We had just finished shedding our stone skin and now we crouched on the building with the greatest of ease.
I am a gargoyle; a purple one with massive wings that looked like a bat's. My three companions also shared the same characteristics as I. Spaz, my good friend, crouched on my left. She's a brown gargoyle, with the same gargoyle appearance. My other friend, who's name I misplaced, was on my right. She was an orange gargoyle, and shared in our likeness. The last companion of mine was a cat; "Peanut" was her name. She was spaz's cat, and she had a pair of wings jutting out of her back.
After we talked a bit, we spread our wings and soared across the sky toward a deserted, wooded area in the outskirts of town. Peanut flew behind, meowing her head off.
Flying high above the trees, we landed in a clearing that contained a deep ravine in the middle. Landing on the grass, we drew our wings up into our backs and examined the cut in the ground. Seeing that it posed no immediate danger, we unfolded our wings from our backs and took off again, soaring high into the night sky. Peanut, behind us again, was meowing her head off.
Stopping at a corner store, we picked up some peach juice and drank it while we flew back into town. We burped loudly, but no one seemed to know where the sound had come from. Then it began to rain, but only for a few seconds. When it stopped, there were new big puddles on the ground and people started to look up at the sky. "Where'd those puddles come from?" they asked each other. But no one knew. They found it weird that it had rained even though there were no clouds in the sky.
A few minutes later, we came across a giant tower that stuck out of the ground. It had a bell at the top. Seeing that I was in a very weird mood that night, I landed at the base of the monument and started climbing up it. I punched my hands into the sides and climbed smoothly up. The others just flew around me wondering what I was doing. Peanut, as usual, was meowing her head off and diving around my head, trying to knock me off.
I arrived at the top and rang the bell. Then I took off towards a brick building a few metres away; my companions followed close behind me. I landed at the base of the building and so did the others. Making a fist with my hand, I gathered up my strength and punched in the brick wall. Nothing happened except now there was a huge hole in the wall. I smiled to myself, having found a new form of amusement. The others started inching away from me. I punched in the wall again, and made an even bigger hole. Feeling amused in a weird sort of way, I punched in the wall again...
... and it crumbled from the force of the punch and collapsed on my head; only my eyes and one arm sticking straight up out of the pile were showing. Spaz started pointing at me and laughing hysterically. My other companion, who's name I misplaced, was doing the same. Peanut, the flying cat, was flying in a circle around me and meowing her head off.
