X-Files Gossip
The X-Files Wins 4 Emmys!
In the Emmys for the 1996/1997 TV season, the X-Files won three Emmys. The first, and most impressive was to Gillian Anderson for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. The other two, which were presented at a different ceremony held a week earlier, this one for technical awards, and those less-interesting ones, were for Outstanding Art Direction in a Series, and Outstanding Sound Editing in a Series. The X-Files was, of course, nominated for many more Emmys, including Outstanding Drama Series, and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, for David Duchovny, but, although they deserved to, they did not win these awards.
The Season Premiere to Air on November 2nd
The long-awaited sesson premiere is finally going to air on November second, six weeks after the start of the new television season. In this show, the second of a three-parter, entitled "Redux" (The first part being, of course, "Gethsemane"), we will find out what really happened to Mulder. Also, Skinner will be blamed for Scully's cancer. (Of course, we all know that it's really Cancer Man, and that Skinner tried to save Scully any way he knew how!) In the third part, simply titled "Redux II", while Scully lingers near death, Cancer Man comes forward with an offer to save her life--and more! This third episode will air on the ninth of November.
