I went to see Dogstar at Toad's Place in New Haven, CT on June 30,1997. Cameras were not allowed but I tried sneaking one in anyway. The bouncer at the door was obviously working for the club and not Dogstar or any of the other bands playing that night. He asked me if I had a camera in my bag and after hearing my denial let me through without searching my purse. Fine with me....I was on a mission! This was my first chance to see Keanu in person and I was going to take some memories with me if I could! So armed with my 35mm camera and 400 speed film I went inside. My husband bless him acted as my "look out" as I snapped pictures of Keanu, Bret and Rob. Unfortunately, someone taking pics near me was using a flash and security spotted them. Security was closing in and even though, I wasn't using a flash I didn't want to risk getting my camera taken and my film ripped out, or getting thrown out of the club myself. I returned my camera to my already overstuffed purse and enjoyed the rest of the show. Even though I didn't finish the roll of film (36 exposures) I did get quite a few pics!
