Joseph C. Phillips has been let go from General Hospital due to their decision to take the character in a different direction. He has played the role since June of 1994. Monti Sharp, an Emmy-winning actor who portrayed David on Guiding Light and Lew on As the World Turns, will take over the recurring role starting July 24. Look for a triangle between Justus, Dara (Vanita Harbour) and Taggert (Real Andrews) to really heat up.
