From ABC Scott Baldwin on the ABC Television Network's "Port Charles" Kin Shriner created the role of Scotty Baldwin on "General Hospital" in 1977, and continued with the character, off and on, through the early '90s. After being away from "General Hospital" for several years, Scotty returns to ABC Daytime in its newest drama, "Port Charles," which premiered June 1, 1997. He now faces the challenges of bringing up his young daughter, Serena. Scotty ingratiates himself into the life of his former flame, Lucy, and comes face to face with his grown daughter, Karen. Shriner also appeared in the daytime dramas, "Texas" and "Rituals"; and the ABC miniseries, "War and Remembrance"; "Echo," USA Television's "Crying Child" with Mariel Hemingway; and various theatrical movies including "Vendetta," "Kidnapped" and "Angel III." Shriner recently spent some time in Florence, Italy, where he taught a theater class through UCLA. While there, he traveled throughout Italy, enjoying the sights of Positano. Shriner has been nominated for several Daytime Emmy awards and has been honored with numerous Soap Opera awards. His return to daytime is an exciting one for him and he looks forward to the adventure and obstacles that lie ahead for his character.
