Vehicle mode: Hubcap is the same mold as Hoist. He is supposed to be a construction truck , but still looks like a tow truck colored like a construction truck. The coloration is all yellow , with black joints here and there. There is some slight painted orange detail on the face and rear side lights. The grill has sivler detail as does the windshield. There are two stickers on the vehicle mode , an orange danger stripe design on each of the vehicle sides. Oh and two smaller ones I almost missed on the front cab end. Vehicle mode is OK , if it dosen't look like what's it supposed to look like.
Transformation: This is an auto transforming toy , just pull out the hook and he blossoms out into his robot mode , position the legs and arms , remove the hidden weapon which is attached to the grill , and you've got the robot mode.
Robot mode: Lot's of joints , few ball joints too , very poseable fellow. The robot mode is very neat looking from any angle. Hubcap is very bulky looking and has a very classy robot appearance. I like. Same colors on robot mode as vehicle mode. The original Hubcap was a small yellow minicar , this mold bears no resemblence to the old one.
Weapons: The grill turns into his hand gun. The grill peice can be removed from the main gun , and put back on chest in robot mode. The gun looks cool with or without it.
Other notes: The sides are kind of floppy in robot mode , making the arms swing out too far at times. And because of this problem the auto transform doesn't always finish by itself , you have to finish it manually. On a side note , I think it would have better if they named this mold Grapple.
Overall: Good toy , worth the price of $4.99 , but could be better with some stickers in robot mode , at least a faction symbol might help.
Ona scale of one to ten this toy recieves a 7.
