The Last Days of Soddom and Gomorrah
-1962-Stewart Granger, Pier Angeli, Stanley Baker, Anouk Aimee, Rossana Podesta
-Dir-Robert Aldrich

I personally sort of like this movie...or at least Granger playing Lot. However they end before the incident in Lot's cave...

Requiem for a Secret Agent
-1965-Stewart Granger, Daniela Bianchi, Georgia Moll, Gianni Rizzo, Peter Van Eyck
-Dir-Sergio Sollima

This foriegn movie is virtually unwatchable. It is like a 5th rate James Bond movie. I didn't even watch the whole thing- the plot line wasn't followable, the only slightly redeeming thing about it was it did have Granger. It just makes you ask- WHY WASN'T HE DOING GOOD STUFF? Surely he could have found better work.

Old Surehand

I have this movie taped off of TV (though what station would have shown it I don't know). I've only tried watching it once and I couldn't sit through the whole thing before turning it off. I didn't even have the heart to watch Frontier Hellcat.

Code Name Alpha
-1965-Stewart Granger, Suzanne Roquette, Rosanna Schiffiano, Paul Dahlke, Horst Frank
-Dir-Ernst Hofbauer

This movie was a little better than Requiem for a Secret Agent (but that's not saying much). Another James Bond ripoff. It was watchable. It does have a humorous moment when Granger punches a bad guy, makes a face and shakes his hand with pain. (Okay it sounds less funny written down, but trust me).

The Last Safari
-1967-Stewart Granger, Kaz Garas, Gabriella Licudi
Dir-Henry Hathaway

I didn't really like this movie. It is so dated- it is obviously from the late sixties. Granger plays the same sort of character as in King Solomon's Mines- a guide who doesn't believe in the needless killing of big game.

Last Safari - SG got second billing in this one to someone named "Kaz Garis" (WHO?). A reprise of his Alan Quatermain role - but in the scene where he decks Garis, you can see he still has formidable physical strength. In real life, he was a pretty good boxer and no man to mess with.

Unfortunately, after "North to Alaska" where he played second fiddle to John Wayne, SG pretty much turned his back on movie-making and spent the rest of his career doing independent British and Foreign productions for quick money. As he said in a 1990 interview with James Brady, "I go back to work when I want to buy my daughter a car."

The Hound of the Baskervilles
One,Two
-1972-Stewart Granger, Bernard Fox, William Shatner, Anthony Zerbe Dir-Barry Crane

I haven't seen this movie but Patty and Summer provided the pics so... here they are. According to the IMDB it was a TV movie. Actually I wish I could see this one, if only to see Granger and Shatner in a movie together. *s*
