BIOGRAPHY
Born November 11 in the South Bronx, Frank got in to acting in the eighties. Before he was bit by the acting bug, he was bit by the music bug, playing drums and studying jazz. He went to college on a scholarship, initially studying jazz composition at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. His work has been primarily in indy films. He's a major jazz fan, and some of his favorite music choices include Tom Waits, Frank Sinatra, Johnny Cash, and general heavy metal. (Quite a variety!) He dabbles in song-writing and screenplay-writing. Although originally from New York, Frank makes his home on the west coast with his wife Jelena and his son, who was born in May 1988, but has never quite managed to lose his Bronx accent. He is 5'6. Early in his career he was credited as both Franke Hughes and Frankie Hughes.
