With a wave, Buffy left her best friend on the steps of the high school and started for the pizza place three blocks away. A glance at her watch showed her that she was ten minutes late to pick it up.
Buffy turned in there, and immediately felt it. They were there. Vampires. Quite a few of them, too. She knew she should run, that there were too many for her to fight, but she was out of time. "Well, hello, Buffy. Nice to see you. Every time I see you, it's always such fun," Angelus said in greeting. At his voice, Buffy spun around, her stomach clenching in fear, and found him leaning against a graffiti covered wall. Drusilla leaned against him, gripping his arm and simpering.
Other vampires emerged from the shadows. Angelus shrugged off Drusilla's grip and took a step towards Buffy. "Yeah. Well it won't be this time," Buffy responded, with a kick to the head which sent Angelus flying. Instinctively, she whirled and took out two other vampires who were sneaking up behind her.
"But, Buffy!" Drusilla said, making Buffy turn around. "Yeah, Buffy!" Buffy spun again, hearing Angelus say her name with an angry growl from her right. Before she could respond, he punched her in the face, sending her to the concrete, into unconsciousness. A few hours later... "Oh God, what a dream," Buffy said, yawning. Slowly she opened her eyes, stretching her arms over her head. At the sight before her she gasped and tried to get her lethargic body to get up and flee. Angelus, Spike and Drusilla were lounging around a television set, watching
Mystery Science Theater 3000. At the sound of Buffy's voice, Angelus rose to his feet and sauntered over to her with a huge grin on her face. "Welcome back from dreamland, lover." Something was really wrong here. Angel was acting way too friendly and she felt very strange. Stiffly she slid off the table she had been lying on and stood on very shaky legs. "What's happened to me?" "You're a vampire, Buffy! A slayer turned vampire! This is going to be fun. Don't ya think Dru?" Spike laughed, wheeling over to where Buffy and Angelus stood facing each other. "Oh, yes Spike," Drusilla agreed. "What d'you think, my
Angel?" She sidled up to Angelus and wrapped her arm around his waist. "Mmmm hmmm. Yes indeed. What about you Buffy?" questioned Angelus. Buffy couldn't believe what she was hearing. A vampire?
They had made her a vampire? Terror welled up in her and she forced it down. This had to be a bad joke.
"I'm a v-v-vampire?" Buffy stuttered. "Ain't life--or death, as the case may be--grand?" Angelus
exclaimed. "I-I don't *feel* like a vampire," Buffy replied, although she did feel strange, like she didn't belong in her body anymore. "Oh, at the moment it doesn't matter. You'll get used to it. We're going to have such glorious times, murdering, pillaging, torturing...Let's start with those goody-goody friends of yours." Angelus took Buffy's arm and began to pull her towards the warehouse door.
TO BE CONTINUED
Laure and I, sadly, couldn't continue this story. We're hoping this could be the round robin story everyone was talking about. If the creator of this idea would like to do part two, please e-mail Mary. I'm thinking that whoever e-mails the author first will get to write part two. Hope you like it. . .
