Leila Kenzle's Fran prepares for her baby sitting job
Leila Kenzle is excited about Mad About You's Baby Buchanan. But is she really ready to help change all those diapers?
Q. Welcome to NBC.com, Leila. You've never chatted with us yet.
A. So you're like a computer geek?
Q. We're computer geeks.
A. Oh my God, you're like my husband
Q. What's coming up for Fran? Do you think she's jealous because her best friend Jamie just had a baby
A. I'm not jealous. You know, she did gain weight, so how can you be jealous of that? She's got to get her body back into shape. Fran's very happy. And the truth is you know, although people forget, I did have a kid on the show. Fran is, although I think Leila is too, more excited about this baby. I'm excited. And I'm glad it's a girl. I would have been really upset if it was a boy. Like what can you get a boy? They have ugly outfits. Girls - little pink dresses.
Q. Nowadays things are getting a little looser. Why do you think that is?
A. I think boys should play with dolls. And girls should play with Matchbox cars. (Laughs:) Just joking. But, I think your kid, whatever your kid basically leans towards is what they should play with. I played with dolls. But I also had guns. I really don't think anyone should worry at any point about that stuff. Whatever they feel like playing with for the rest of their lives, it's OK with me.
Q. How involved are you with the Internet?
A. I play solitaire. That's as far as I've gotten on the computer. It goes on and it gets to the solitaire. I just found out they have poker on CompuServe. So that's what I do - solitaire or poker.
