Let's face it guys (and by guys, I mean men), we love action movies. And can anyone really blame us. They offer us a chance to experience vicariously everything we think would be cool (saving the girl, blowing stuff up, killing tons of bad guys, saving the world, etc.) without the risk of bodily harm. All we have to do is pay our $7 (or more sometimes), munch on a little popcorn and enjoy the carnage. Well, The Matrix offers all of that, plus a little more carnage, a ton of mouth dropping special effects and a sweet story. That is why we love it for what it is... the best action movie in a long time.
