Deputy Dewey Riley

Deputy Dwight Riley, or "Deputy Dewey Boy", as his sister,Tatum, calls him, works for the Woodsboro Police Department. He's a very caring, sweet guy. He cares very much for his sister and her friends, especially Sidney. He treats Sidney as if she were also his sister. Some people think that Dewey had a crush on Sid, but if this is true he soon gets over it when Gale Weathers comes to town. He developes a large crush on her, very quickly.

Dewey is trying to solve the crime of the Woodsboro murders which involve two kids from his sister's school, and just maybe Gale could help him out. Besides, he really likes her. But is Dewey just being used by Gale for a quick hot story? Probably. But poor nieve Dewey falls right into her charm.

But, Dewey knows he doesn't have time for a romance. He's got to find a killer. His siter and her friends' lives could depend on it.

On the other hand, Dewey did get to Sidney's house pretty fast the night that she was attacked. And when Sidney opened the door, Dewey was right outside holding the Ghostface mask that the killer was wearing. Is it possible that Dewey got fed up with being picked on by everyone in the town and is now getting his revenge?
