Now he has come to visit Sidney and make sure that she is alright, and maybe even catch the killer this time. He runs into Gale and tells her off, but eventually tries to tolerate her so that they can try to catch the killer. After all, if the killer is imitating Woodsboro, both of them could be targets. Or maybe the killer is from Woodsboro.
Is it possible that Dewey has spent the last year angry at the survivors for what happened to him? Did he come to visit Sidney, or is he there to seek revenge? In the scene where Dewey and Gale are arguing, we see a side of Dewey that we've never seen before. Maybe he has become a bitter psycho over the past two years.
