I am considering selling my website at http://www.veggieboards.com. This is not definite but I'm interested in testing the waters. You have received this offer because you've expressed interest in my site in the past - it is only being sent to a few people. If the minimum offer is not met it will eventually be put up for auction on various websites.

History:

VeggieBoards was founded in December of 2000. It is the largest and most active vegetarian forum online.

Current Stats (as of 09/15/08):

Recent Activity (month/new threads/new members/new posts):

Revenue:

We offer a Contributing Member program that removes ads, offers increased pm space, attachment space, photo space, etc. for $12 per year. At any given time we have approximately 100 people participating in this program. Therefore figure on about $1200 per year from this program.

Revenue is generated almost exclusively through AdSense. Here are the annual totals for this year (through 09/14/08) and the 2 previous years:

What I'm Looking For:

I want to sell the site outright, no profit sharing. At the minimum I would want 3 years income (approx. $55,000). This site is almost 8 years old and has a proven history of generating steady traffic and revenue.

Payment is due before any files are transferred from my server. Once payment is made you will be given access to my server and will be allowed to transfer the files. You are solely responsible for anything that may go wrong during this process and no refund will be given.

We have a team of about 10 moderators who do virtually all of the work with very little input from me. I will also make myself available for consulting for up to 90 days following the sale. And I'm sure I would continue to post as a member.

What You Get:

VeggieBoards.com, VeggieBoards.net, and VeggieBoards.org domain names. One copy of vBulletin, one copy of vBulletin Blog, and one copy of vBGallery. Exclusive rights to the database.

Misc:

In addition to the forum we have a recipe section with over 1,800 recipes, a photo album with over 4,600 photos, and a member blog with nearly 400 entries.

This is a vegetarian forum and members may frown upon the fact that it may no longer be run by a vegetarian. It's completely up to you how you want to handle it but it would probably be in your best interest to say that you are.

I've kept pretty good records of income and traffic. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at mike@emailmike.org. 1
