Baby Tomata Productions

Welcome to

Who We Are

Baby Tomata Productions was formed in 1997 as the labor of love of writer/director Paula Goldberg.

In association with Diana Films and producer Francesca Prada, BTP's first production is the 35mm short film, "Traveling Companion", starring Susan Savage, Suzanne Mara and former "Melrose Place" star, Kristin Davis. The project boasts 11 female characters on screen and, behind-the-camera, finds women in the roles of writer, director, producer, art director, director of photography, and post-production supervisor. The film was completed and first shown in March 1998.

How To Be An Angel

Here's why you should support Baby Tomata Productions:

  • There are 2 female lead characters and 9 other supporting women's roles in our first film, "Traveling Companion".
  • We have in the past employed women as Producer, Writer, Director, Director of Photography, Camera Assistant, Dolly Grip, Art Director, Script Supervisor, Costume Designer, Sound Mixer and Post Production Supervisor.
  • We are committed to providing opportunites for women in front of and behind the camera.

Fostering the work of emerging women of talent is assuredly the most effective way for us to guarantee a continued wealth of opportunity within the film industry. Recent DGA statistics state that less than 7% of working directors are women.

How can you help Baby Tomata Productions reach its goal?

We are independent and self financed. Will you...

  • Donate your professional services to a future project?
  • Help us obtain financing, either by access to interested industry professionals or private investors?
We would be open to any suggestions or comments you may have. Please feel free to contact us via e-mail at tomata@aol.com or through our production office at (323) 769-5075
