Betty, rebellious daughter of a millionaire, decides to marry the pennyless
Jean, against her father's will.
She runs away to France and she starts living a life of luxury on the profits
from her father business.
The rich man decides to put a stop to her behavior pretending his business
crashed. Betty now has to find money by herself and she is hired in a night
club working as an entraineuse.
When her father realizes what she is doing he feels guilty and asks her to
forgive him. Betty will forgive him if he will accept Jean as her husband.

This is one of Hitchcock's American style comedies. The movie is full of
funny gags and humor. The director's style seems to be a little superficial
and gross, but probably this is the fashion of the movie.
