Quentin Tarantino was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on March, 27th 1963.

He moved to Los Angeles, California with his mother after his parents divorce.


In 1980 he left school and started attending an acting school.

From 1985 on, he started working in a video store where he met  Roger Avary with whom he will write Pulp Fiction's screenplay.

In 1990 he moved to Hollywood and he started working in a little film production company.


Between 1991 and 1992 his third screenplay become his first movie as a director: Reservoir Dogs. During this period he met Lawrence Bender and Harvey Keitel.

In 1994 he won an Academy Award for the movie Pulp Fiction.

His career as a director is at its best and he acts in many other directors' movies too.


From 1997 he manages with Lawrence Bender a record company named "A Band Apart Records" which focuses on movies' soundtracks.
