After being cryogenically frozen at the height of his fame in 1967, Austin is now, thirty years later, being
defrosted to match wits with his arch nemesis, Dr. Evil. With the help of his nefarious multi-national corporation, Virtucon,
Dr. Evil once again holds the world to ransom, this time with the deadly project Vulcan. This time around, Austin's joined in the fight by Agent Venessa Kensington, the daughter of his sidekick in the Sixties. Elizabeth Hurley plays the
straight-shooting operative, who is sometimes vexed, but always charmed, by Austin's anachronistic affections. After being unfrozen, Austin races with Vanessa to Las Vegas in his private plane, a shag-carpeted jumbo jet
worthy of Hugh Hefner, complete with wet bar and revolving bed. Relying on Austin's out-of-date but still powerful charm and Vanessa's cutting edge training, they infiltrate Dr. Evil's stark underground headquarters, where they are captured and
strung above a tank of ill-tempered mutated sea bass to await their doom. After escaping Dr. Evil's trap using dental-floss and toothpaste, Austin and Vanessa must still defeat the Fembots (alluring female robots in go-go boots specially designed to entrap
Austin) and prevent Dr. Evil from sending a nuclear probe to the very center of the earth. Along the way, Austin realizes that his true mission is to make peace with his own out-of-date swinging sexuality and win the love of Hurley's, Agent
Kensington.
