Today started off okay, I guess.

Lisa was sick, so I had to take her Sunday School class. They were off the wall hyper. And these were the Grades 5-7. I thought my Bible Choose-Your-Own-Adventure and Hang-Paul (a varient of Hangman) would be entertaining, but I guess they're just at that age where they think they don't need to be taught anything.

So after church, we all came home, but not for long. I drove mom to work and then took Jess to her grandparent's. She insisted I stay for dinner, and since we were having pizza, I did. Pizza is pizza.

Sadly, Jess' mom caught us making out and was sorely displeased with that. Not only that, but I thought I had lost my Grad ring in the attic. I was feeling pretty discouraged and it was only a few minutes ago I learned Jess had my Grad ring in her pocket the whole time. We were both puzzled as to how this happened.

I found out Robert was kicked out of home for being annoying or something. He had his key turned in, emptied out his clothes, the whole nine yards.

Ah yes, I finally got my Fido Voice Mail working. Stupid thing. If you don't hold down the buttons as you're keying in your access code, it'll reject the code. That was probably the problem the whole time, but oh well.

Anyway. Uh, that's all for now.

Are 'friends' Electric?

It's cold outside
And the paint's peeling off of my walls
There's a man outside
In a long coat, grey hat, smoking a cigarette

Now the light fades out
And I'm wondering what I'm doing in a room like this
There's a knock on the door
And just for a second I thought I remembered you

So now I'm alone
Now I can think for myself
About little deals
And S.U.'s
And things that I just don't understand
Like a white lie that night
Or a slight touch at times
I don't think it meant anything to you

So I open the door
It's the `friend' that I'd left in the hallway
"Please sit down"
A candle lit a shadow on a wall near the bed

You know I hate to ask
But, are `friends' electric?
Mine's broke down
And now I've no one to love

So I find out your reason
For the phone calls and smiles
And it hurts
And I'm lonely
And I should never have tried
And I missed you tonight
So it's time to leave
You see this means everything to me

Okay that's it. I'm stuck.
I'm currently on Mission 9 of Episode VI of Broodwar. It's called "The Reckoning".
Here's what's happened. Kerrigan's sent her Broods to recover the Protoss Matriarch from Zeratul's forces. But the Protoss will escape Char in 30 minutes. You have that amount of time to completely destroy their base. You start off with most of the structures already built and a sizeable attack force ready.

Problem. The UED is just North and South of your base, and they don't like you either. Now, there's another thing. In order to get to the Secret Level, you need to beat the level in 25 minutes.

Now, the Strategy Guide and I agree on one thing. And that is you MUST destroy the South Terran Base first, to get their resources. I can do that and get a new base active in 5 - 10 minutes.

But I can't seem to get through the Protoss defenses! I get the 5 Ultralisks, 48 Hydralisks, the five Guardians and the few Overlords, and they STILL plow through me! Seriously, this is hard! The Psionic Storm and Scarabs tear through me, and I can't get my Guardians in to take them out without the Dragoons killing them.

I've tried it a dozen times, and it's not working...I was hoping Doug could help me, but he's spent the whole day at his new girlfriend's house. Doug and Chelsey...he's beaten the level "with great difficulty" he says, but he's DONE IT.

I need to know WHAT I'm doing wrong.

Okay, I thought this is interesting...yes, you guessed it. ANOTHER TEST!!!!!!
This one's cool though.

click to take it!

"British... everybody likes those Brits. You compare with U2 and other famous bands. You're music is very original and different from anything heard on the radio normally. Songs are laid back and relaxed, and you frequently make some pretty weird, er um, original music videos."

Ooohhhhhhhh yes yes yes. This one actually matches me!

Took another test today, the Animal In You Personality Test.

Penguin
Genera and species: Aptenodytes Patagonica
Collective Term: A colony of penguins

Description:
Now you see it, now you don't. Aggressive yet gentle, outgoing but shy, stable yet flighty -- everyone sees the penguin in a different way. It's that black and white thing -- the penguin only reveals the side that it wants to you to see. So, whether you like this darling-devil or not, you have to concede that it's a fascinating and enigmatic individual.

For penguins are birds condemned to live out their days on the ground. Unable to fly, their excess energy has no outlet save their creative talents and emotional outbursts. Penguins are poetic, artistic, and intellectually gifted, and as writers, penguins have no equal. But, if unable to channel their impulses in a positive way, the resulting turmoil proves damaging to their relationships and careers.

With a natural aptitude for languages, penguin personalities dominate the world of publishing as writers, editors and journalists. A strong sense of drama draws them to the theater and cinema, although unlike typical bird personalities, they avoid the spotlight unless they're able to hide behind the characters they play. Once on stage however, they prove to be excellent performers with their multifaceted personalities conveying the full gamut of emotions.

However, a lack of confidence affects their work and penguins tend to give up too easily. So work never dominates their lives and they always put their families first. Those intimate with their penguin personality are impressed by their unswerving loyalty. They are sentimental at heart and always remember anniversaries and the birthdays of nieces and nephews. With a strong compassion for others, they place their family's needs ahead of their own but often end up being taken advantage of.

In matters of the heart, penguins connect poorly with other bird personalities who look down on them because of their terrestrial connections. Mammalian personalities also treat them with suspicion too, finding them to be flighty and unpredictable.

Since penguins have the coldest feet in the animal kingdom, it's no surprise that within its conflicted bosom there beats the warmest heart of all. Unfortunately, most of us will never experience this gentle compassion, for penguins ration their love only to family and close friends.

Careers and Hobbies:
Writer Herbalist
Journalist Actor
Designer Waiter

Gambling Board games
Reading Family time

Famous Penguins:
Oscar Wilde, Truman Capote, Danny Devito.

Just took a bunch of tests:

I am 52.5% British, just like
Hugh Grant
Though you drive a British sports car you are most likely to have a blowout in LA.

Take the Brit Quiz at
www.darrenlondon.tripod.com/britquiz1.htm

Quiz written by Daz

Haha, oh I am disgraced! I'm not nearly as British-like as I pretend to be. Phooey.

Drink me!

Which drink are you?

I don't know quite what to think of that one. Would you want to drink me? Didn't think so. What's an Imperial?

You're Yuna. You're hardworking and honest, and also a little naive. You can easily be lied to, but in the end your friends will look out for you. Kind and loving you'd never hurt a fly. You'd be willing to do anything to help others, even if it means some personal sacrafices for you.
Which Final Fantasy X Character would YOU be? Take the test.

Haha, that's funny. I hope I have a sword.
