My blood boiled up to two hundred degrees when I saw Justin together with that hellion, Sandra. Just what did he see in her?!?
Sandra was the epitome of being plain looking. It was supposed to be a comforting thought if she was such a nice person, but she was so...Oh I could not put it in paper!
Five minutes before midnight, I prepared a glass of water and a cover. I waited for the hands of the clock to kiss and as I heard the first bell tone, I drank half a glass of the water then covered it. I shut my eyes and thought hard that Justin was going to be mine in the morning. After all, he did not deserve someone like Sandra. I fell into a deep sleep and when I awoke, I drank the other half of the glass of water.
Moments later, the doorbell rang. It was Justin carrying three stuffed Teddy Bears.
"Hi Lorraine..why aren't you dressed yet?"
Huh?
"We'll be late for our daily hike."
Just then I realized that the spell worked. Boy, I never realized it would. I pinched myself to see if I was dreaming, but I was hurt to the core.
I dressed up in a flash then saw a picnic basket on the floor. I looked inside of it and saw that there were expensive goodies. This was all too good to be true.
Justin and I hiked a hill, but it seemed like a mountain. I huffed and puffed, but as we reached the top, it was well worth it. There was a beautiful river with waterfalls. The flowers were the best species on earth. The sad part was that we were going to climb down. I found myself fighting the tears that were about to flow. I'm glad I won.
I was mighty bushed when we reached the riverside. He watched me prepare our picnic banquet without even offering to help. Then when everything was set, he ate all of the food and drank everything, without even offering me.
"How come your not with Sandra today?" I asked.
"Sandra who?" he asked in return, but I saw a certain sadness in his eyes.
It dawned on me that he might have belonged to me, but his heart belongs to her. He might have forgotten about her, but in his subconscious, she was his only love.
I tried to recall the times I had with Sandra. She might be a pain in the neck, but she did have good points. She took care of him and he took care of her too. Gees! This was wrong! I wish I never wished him to be mine.
I found myself on top of the hill watching Sandra and Justin having a picnic. Justin served her food and she served him back.
I looked up to heaven and told the Almighty,"Thank you for teaching me that anything attained through cheating would never bring me happiness."
The End
