Okay, I'll admit that I really hate it when I get in line behind these gushy girls who are only going to see Titanic because *swoon* Leoooo *end swoon* is in it. But I am also beginning to get SICK of reading articles in which the press basically bashes Leo because he's popular. I *hate* that. Every article I read about Titanic either absolutely idolizes Leo (yes, those would be the teen magazines like Seventeen and Teen), or they completely hate him. I am sick of hearing him called a "thirteen year old", a "pretty boy", and other things along that line. It is not HIS fault that all of us are going back to see Titanic again and again. Well, maybe it is for some of us, but he can't help it.

Leo's acting is very powerful. His facial expressions are amazing. His eyes are wonderful. And yes, I *do* just so happen to think he's gorgeous. But I do not think he's perfect. So I get sick of hearing him called the god of actors. I mean, PLEASE. I get sick of hearing people say, "I'm going to marry him." I get sick of hearing people say, "He's just so PERFECT!" I get sick of hearing people say, "He's just too fine to die." I mean, get real.

Why can't we just admit that he's a good actor and get on with it? Why do we all seem to feel the urge to idolize the poor guy? Or to cut him to shreds? He is *not* superhuman for goodness sake! I think we all just need to take a deep breath and view him rationally. We need to stop adoring him. We need to stop insulting him. We need to realize that he is a human being who expresses himself through acting.

That said, I also want to add that I think everyone pays entirely too much attention to him in the movie. He is not the only strong performer in the cast. Kate Winslet is, obviously, but finally she's getting the attention she deserves. But no one seems to really notice others, like Victor Garber (he just looks so.. HUGGABLE), and Jonathan Hyde!
