                           Synopsis

                          High Society unfolds in the aristocratic Newport,  Rhode Island, at Jazz Festival time. Tracy Lord,
                  the daughter of a wealthy family, is about to marry the faultless but dull George Kittredg when her ex-husband
                  arrives, accompanied with a magazine's scandal reporters. Tracy tries to confuse the inquisitive journalists
                  but seems to grow more unsure of herself as her wedding approaches.

                          One of Hollywood's all-time favourite film musicals.

                                  Notes

                    -  The film is a musical  remake oof The Philadelphia  Story (1940).

                       -  The Philadelphia Story was Grrace Kelly's graduation play in 1949.

                       -  Grace Kelly's last acting role.

                       -   True Love, the romanticc duet between Grace Kelly and Bing Crosby, was a worldwide hit. The
                   song went Platinum, reached number 4 in the U.K. pop charts and had 27 weeks in the Top 50. In the
                   U.S. True Love reached number 3 and remained in the Top 40 for 22 weeks.

                           The original soundtrack album fared even better, selling more than 3 million copies internationally.
                   Among many musical highlights were: You're Sensational, Mind If I Make Love To You, Well, Did
                   You Evah?, Now You Has Jazz and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.
