I apologize right now for the shabbyness of this interview. I was caught extremely unawares.
So I'm sitting doing my illustration project, at around 10:30 pm on the 23rd. I get an off campus call (which I never get cause no one loves me). I answer and it is Mike Nilon, Casey's agent. "the most powerful man in Hollywood" according to Casey. I am searching for my list of your questions, and Casey got on.
I was impressed that I did not flip out.
Anyways, the 'so-called interview' went roughly as follows:
Spork: Hello?
Casey: Hello this is Casey.
S:Oh. How are you?
*yadda yadda* I tell him what a success the website is, he says "no one has ever done this kind of thing for me before", he is impressed by the number of people who visit as well as my reports of fan's undying affection for him (he was embarassed too how cute)
He starts asking me questions...
S:hey! I'm supposed to ask *you* stuff. like when exactly is your birthday?
C: August 12, 1975
S: Do you have a girlfriend?
C: I have a boyfriend...
S:Many girls will be very disapointed.
C: kidding, kidding...
He proceed to say 'no comment' on the girfriend issue. (sgrunt)
S:Favorite color?
C:Hazel
S:Hobbies?
C:I do wacky and wild shit all the time...
S: *laughs* Ok: Are you in college? I hear you're at Columbia.
C: yes I am.
S: What major?
C: Actually I don't have a major right now.
S: How do you manage making movies and school at the same time?
C: By dropping out *laughs* No, I didn't go last semester, but I will be back in the fall.
S:Ok, cool. Who's your favorite "Celebrity" friend, not counting Joaquin and of course your brother does not count.
C: uh.....Matt Damon
S: Favorite TV show?
C: Man, I never get to watch TV...*pause*
S:anything.
C:Letterman. Does that count?
S:yeah, sure! music you like?
C: hmmmm...I listen to a lot of stuf...the last CD I bought was... "The Magic Flute of Aker Bilt" (sp???)
Since I had no clue at all what he was talking about, he tried to explain it to me...but it didn't work. Oh well. I ended up telling him he was on crack
C: and crack is my favorite food
S: Really? That was actually my next question.
Then we talked about Ethan whom I know from Kevin Smith's website
and then alas, Casey was dragged off to dinner by his evil agents, Mike Nilon and Matt delPiano. He did promise me pictures.
And I will hold him to that.
