Where it all started. Eric finds out that he may be getting the Vista Cruiser. He also begins to notice a relationship forming between his next door neighbor and best friend, Donna. He gets the car and the gang (including Kelso, Hyde, Fez, and Jackie) go to a Todd Rundgren concert. Highlights: Innovative stuff for the first episode--began the rotating conversation between the four guys in the basement and when Eric's dad called him upstairs, moved the wall in the background to simulate Eric's take on the situation. Eric and Donna share their first kiss.A

It's Eric's birthday and Kitty is throwing a surprise party fro Eric. Donna can't decide what to get him for his birthday and goes to Jackie for help. Eric begins to srart thinking about Donna more and the gang finds out about their first kiss. Highlights: Eric's dream and waking up to two eggs and a tent, what Kelso thinks Laurie "really" said, Donna trying to come onto Eric on the porch, Kitty drunk, Kitty trying to keep the party a secret. Eric feels emasculated when he is beaten by Donna in basketball ( and air hockey). Red is lsing it becasue he's only working part-time and starts fixing things that don't need to be fixed. Kelso is called a "whipped pig" by the guys because of his inability to stand up to Jackie. Highlights: Eric donning a dress and breasts after being beaten in air hockey, Eric and Donna wrestling on the floor, Fez carrying on Kelso's conversation over the phone with Jackie. A-
5. "Sunday Bloody Sunday"--Nov. 29, 1998

Eric's got a term paper due on Monday, but to keep the family peaceful, he agreed to entertain Grandma Foreman during her visit. The gang tries to help Eric write his paper, but only Donna seems really serious. Fez makes friends with Grandma Foreman. Highlights: The game of "Whorse", Kitty's hatred of Grandma Foreman, Fez's attraction to Grandma Foreman's feet.B+
6. "Eric's Burger Job"--Sept. 27, 1998

Donna's going to be alone all weekend and invites Eric over. Eric decided to get a job at Fatso Burger and begins to lose sleep ove rit. He also is no longer able to spend time with Donna. He refuses to quit however because he wants to show Red that he's not a quitter. Highlights: Hyde talking to Donna about "scrawny little neighbor boy", interview session at Fatso Burger, the "Doofus and Diligent" vignette, Eric and Donna's talk about him coming over after party, Red sensing a party. A new disco opens in Kenosha and Jackie drags the gang there. Hyde has Kitty teach him how to dance and Bob catches them in the act and thinks something else is going on. Highlights: Fez and Jackie dancing, Hyde and Kitty dancing, the whole thing with Bob thinking they're together, Donna and Eric dancing at the end. B+
10. "Thanksgiving"--Nov. 22, 1998

It's Thanksgiving and Laurie is bringing her friend Kate home for the holidays--who kisses Eric and pisses Donna off. Grandma Foreman is supposed to come down and they forget to pick her up. Highlights: Eric not being able to get up after kissing and how he deals with it, Grandman Foreman's petname for Kitty, Eric's discussion with the guys after making out with Kate, Red's dumbass speech to Eric. 11. "Career Day"--Feb. 28, 1999

It's Career Day and Eric goes with Kitty to the hospita, Fez and Hyde see Hyde's mom, Gross Edna the lunch lady. Kelso goes with his dad to work and tries to figure out what he does, and Jackie helps Red repair the Vista Cruiser. Highlights: Kitty's worklife, Career Half-Day, Kelso giving in and saying that his dad's a farmer and that they got up that morning and picked carrots right off the tree. A-
12. "Eric's Buddy"--Dec. 6, 1998

Eric "clique breaches" and starts hanging out with Buddy Morgan, leaving Hyde and Kelso behind. Red is having trouble selling stuff at Bargain Bob's--he needs to work on his people skills. Highlights: Eric and Buddy's kiss, Kelso missing Eric, the "Best Friend" vignette with Buddy and Eric, Fez telling Buddy that with his car he must be "knee deep in whores". A
13. "The Best Christmas Ever"--Dec. 13, 1998

The Foreman's are throwing their annual Christmas party and Eric wants to throw his own. Red agrees and guves Eric $40 to buy a tree and the rest Eric can spend on his party. So the gang cut down a tree and use all the money for the party. Bob makes Red work on Christmas Eve. Highlights: Hyde and Eric checking out Donna's job on decorating, Fez getting in good with three drunk women, Kelso trying to pick-up Laurie (always funny). A
14. "Grandma's Dead"--July 12, 1999

Eric takes Grandma Foreman home one night and asks her if it would kill her to be nice. And then she dies. Red hides his emotions. Kitty bakes. Red's brother Marty comes from out of town to attend the funeral, and he's an "emotional tool". The gang attends the funeral and are of course very crass. Highlights: Red letting Eric drink, the guys pretending to be soldiers on leave at a bar, a family hug (with Eric for once), Red aksing how Grandma hit her head on pavement. A-

It's Valentine's Day and Eric and Donna are going on their first date. Only problem--Hyde had a date planned with Donna also. The parents get all excited about their kids and have a fondue party. Highlights: Donna drunk, Keslo trying to "do it" again with Jackie. A-

Jackie lets everyone know that she is pregnant with Kelso's baby and puts Kelso in a state of depression. Donna decides to go on the pill so the same thing doesn't happen to her. Donna's and Eric's parents find out and freak. Jackie later finds out that she's not pregnant and breaks up with Kelso. Highlights: Jackie catching Eric dancing, the "Open For Business" vignette, Red and Ktty talking to Eric about sex (and foreplay), and Red hosing Eric down with the water hose. A

A punk chick comes to town and sweeps Hyde off his feet. She wants him to go to New York with her. Meanwhile, Eric is having problems getting Donna's bra off. Red and Kelso try to make smaller paddles on Pong. Highlights: Eric struggling for Donna's bra, Red and Kelso bonding, Kitty's frustration at trying to help Jackie bake a pie. B+
21. "Prom Night"--Mar. 7, 1999

Prom Night is upon the gang and Eric has to come up with a plan (including hotel room) for him and Donna. Kelso is taking Pam Macy to the prom and that leaves Jackie in the cold. She soon coaxes Hyde into taking her. Highlights: Donna and Eric almost doing it, Kelso and Jackie are back together, Hyde shows Pam the backseat of a Lincoln Continental.A-
22. "A New Hope"--Mar. 14, 1999

Series' first season finale has the gang seeing the hot movie of 1977--"Star Wars". Eric's old nemsis David "scoliosis asthma freak" Millbank comes into town and tries to steal Donna. Donna thinks Eric's a possessive jerk and he vows to steal her from Eric before he leaves town. Red has a new job and Eric finds out that it won't be for long, but can't burst his dad's bubble. Laurie is flunking college. Highlights: Star Wars flashback, Kelso makes out with Laurie. A-
23. "Water Tower"--June 7, 1999

Kelso hurts himself when the gang paints a pot leaf on the water tower. Jackie blames Hyde for hurting Kelso and Kelso turns against Hyde. Eric catches Red and Kitty having sex and has to deal with it. Highlights: Kitty and Red naked at the dinner table, Fez asking the nurse for his sponge bath, Red and Kitty thinking Eric's on dope, the "National Geographic" vignette. A
24. "Hyde Moves In"--July 19, 1999

Edna has run off with a trucker and left Hyde to fend for himself. Eric tries to get his parents to do something but Red doesn't have the money to help out, but finally gives in. Jackie gets sick and Kelso goes over to visit and (gasp!) sees her without make-up. Bob tries to pick-up a woman from Midge's woman warrior meeting. Highlights: The gang riding home naked from the reservoir, Fez's tattoo, Kelso seeing Jackie without make-up, Red's bleep-tone speech at the end, Hyde giving up at the end when Kitty brings him cocoa, Donna partakes in her first roundtable discussion with the guys. 25. "The Good Son"--July 26, 1999

Hyde starts doing Eric's chores for him and becomes the favorite among Red and Kitty. He begins to lose favor with the gang for no longer being the same rebellious guy they know and lve. Red and Kitty go to a swinger's party with one of Red's old friends, Bull. Bob and Midge continue to have problems and Donna fears divorce. Highlights: Hyde's fascination at having waffles, the "New Arival" vignette, Red wanting his Corvette, Eric trying to be the new bad boy in place of Hyde. A-
