Angel/Angelus
Good Vamp/Bad Vamp?
Let's try Brimstone Boy

I'm going to start off by saying that I'm not a big Angel fan. At all. He was cool in Season One, but after that he just broods, and is all mysterious and moody and really no fun. Angel/Buffy kissing, make out fests, and other affectionate crap annoyed me, and I just don't like them together. Now, I love Angelus. He's fun and mean, and well, not Angel. Angelus gave us fans a chance to see what a good actor David Boreanaz actually is. I had no idea! He seemed to be the John Stamos of BtVS. Now he's the Bob Saget! Just kidding, but really, he's good, damn good, at being a bad guy. He must be having such a blast playing, well, not a really boring vamp who lounges around being all vampish and un-fun. And when he's bad, wooh-boy, he is BAD. Hot damn, he's sadistic and purely evil. Passion, however, was the straw that broke the camel's back, in a major way. When he comes back, I have a hard time believing that Buffy is ever going to get close to him again, but even if she does, it will never be like before. She's not going to trust him, and she will probably still hate him for quite a while. Of course, Buffy is totally justified in these feelings. I guess it is sort of sad that Angel lost his soul, but, I still like him better as Angelus. I especially enjoyed seeing him play off James Marsters (Spike). The two work great together, and I could feel the tension between them -- man is it intense!

In Surprise, Angel asked Buffy what she wanted for her birthday. Buffy responded "Surprise me." I don't think what happened was what she had in mind, but oh well. Buffy got the surprise of her life for her birthday, and Angel got another chance to have some fun. One of my favorite lines from Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered was from Angelus, when he brought Dru that heart, proclaiming that he had found it in a "quaint little shop girl."

Right now, all I'm hoping for is a few more episodes with Angelus, not Angel. His evilness can be surpassed by none, and neither can the entertainment value. Since that isn't likely to happen, I guess I'm going to have to mope. Like Angel!

Well, ummmm, yeah, he's in hell and stuff now. I guess this means no more Angel, or Angelus for the kids for awhile. When Joss brings him back from hell, I swear I'll firebomb his house, where ever the hell it is. Becoming 2 was the single most powerful, wonderful, fascinating and fantastic hour of television that I have ever seen, and Angel's descent into hell made it all the more perfect. I cried for twenty minutes after that show was over. I first cried at the Giles/Jenny semi-reunion, and then proceeded to sob like a freaking baby at the Buffy/Angel scene. Poor Buffy. Poor Angel. He had no idea what the hell was going on... And he trusted her. When she said close your eyes, he closed his damn eyes. He just had no idea of what was coming, which was good for him. I was surprised that Joss offed his leading male starpower for awhile, but I'm glad that he did too. Joss isn't afraid to kill of main characters, which is a scary prospect. To bring Angel back would totally tarnish everything that B2 created and signifies.
