Fan clubs are easy ways for celebrities to allow others to handle their fan mail and requests for autographs.  The Star Wars Fan Club will forward the letter to the celebrity and do not guarantee that the celebrity will receive, read or respond with an authentic response.  The following steps must be followed:

1. No mail larger than 9 1/2" by 4 1/2" legal size envelope.
2. If you are interested in possibly getting a response please include a self addressed stamped envelope.  If the person you are writing to is in England, or another coutry other than your own, please send at least two IRCs.   If you plan on sending a 9x12 SASE, fold it in thirds and put it into a standard #10 envelope (see step #1)
3. Only send letters to the people on this list; sending mail through SWFC to someone not on this list it will most likely be either returned or disposed of.
4. Don't assume you will get a response.  Most of these actors are extremely busy and are simply unable to respond to all of the huge volume of mail they receive.
5. Don't ask for celebrity home addresses from them.  For security and logistical reasons, they can never give these out to anyone.

Studio Fan Mail is an agency that is notorious for only sending out pre-printed signatures.  While the photos are of very good quality, the signatures will not be real and the photo will be b&w. While some collectors don't care about authenticity, I wouldn't recommend using this address unless you don't care.  Unfortunately, the number of celebrities using this service is growing.
