Taran
Taran is the unlikely hero from the animated feature, The Black Cauldron. Many people haven't even heard of this film, and know not a whit of its story or characters. But I do, and I thought that Taran deserved a page of his own. The pig-boy Taran is a low-class apprentice to a wise, old mage. Put in charge of the oracular pig Hen Wen seemed like a job for a lame-o, and Taran wanted to be important and famous. Then when the Horned King pignapped Hen Wen, Taran started out on the greatest adventure of his life! With his quasi-love interest, the fiery-witted Princess Eilonwy, the bumbling bard, Fflewddr Fflam, and the ever-hungry forest-creature Gurgi, the he sets off on the great adventure to rescue Hen Wen, with the help of the powerful sword Dyrnwyn and to recover the mystical Black Cauldron, which, once in the Horned King's grasp, can be used to make the dead immortal and unstoppable. Taran, although weak at first, and little-known was a great hero, and this much of a website is the least he deserves!
