Theo (Theodor-one of the most popular Greek names!) is a dalmatian puppy that I recently adopted from the DAA (Dalmatian Adoption Agency). He was born on March 4, 1998, and I took him in to maintain Roger and Anita's dalmatian plantation population (say THAT three times fast :P). Pongo and Perdi continue to have puppies and Cruella DeVil will still stop at nothing to get them!...
The delivery truck holding Theo was bumping along the road precariously, the rain falling heavily... A newborn, Theo was afraid of being alone, and in the rain. He was so used to being surrounded by his fellow spotted canines, and now he found himself alone. He heard the sound of the squealing wheels of a sports car racing toward the truck. Then he saw her. The one he had heard so much about from the other puppies! He knew the second he saw that flying, two-toned hair that it was Cruella DeVil. Now plotting to capture every dalmatian one by one, she now had her sights set on Theo. He barked loudly and repetitively, in a feeble attempt to get the driver's attention. It was of no use. DeVil was gaining , and fast! She pulled up to the side of the truck and began attempting to run the truck off of the road. The driver was angry and confused, and tried to keep from crashing onto the shoulder of the bumpy country road. Finally, Cruella succeeded in running the truck off the road and Theo was thrown from the back, in his cage. He landed hard and painfully on the side of the road, and saw that the gate to his cage was wide open. He was free! He walked out and saw above him a shadow... Looking up, he saw Cruella DeVil grinning like a maniac and reaching for his spotted body. He bit her hand and left her screaming, running for his life... He soon grew weary and collapsed on the side of the road... Drew was walking along the side of the road when he saw a poor, wet dalmatian on the side of the road. He touched it and felt it shudder. He picked it up and pet it gently and reassuringly. He saw the tag on his collar, and called Anita and Roger Dearly at the DAA. They explained what had happened. In the meantime, Drew had grown quite attached to the little guy and asked if he could keep him. Anita and Roger consented, planning to send another puppy to those who were expecting Theo. Drew promised Theo that he would protect him from DeVil...
...So, that's how Theo came to me...(well, sorta... :P) But, if YOU want to adopt a dalmatian from the DAA, go to the Dalmatian Adoption Agency website or to Larissa's page, who is maintaining the homepage for Roger and Anita, or go home.
