Scary and Supernatural Book Guide

Movies are not the only sorce of horror, suspense, and the supernatural; books have always been a great avenue for chills and thrills. I am going to give refrences to such and will be updating this page well I guess as I finnish a new one that is note worthy.

Non-Fiction

There are many intersesting non-fiction books aviable on a wide range of topics all of which can be found at you local bookstore. I am going to refer you to a few right now all of which I have personally read and found intriguing.

  1. The Haunted by Robert Curran with Jack and Janet Smurl and Ed and Lorraine Warren. The Haunted is a chilling first hand account of the manifistation of the Smurl home in Pennsylvania and the case that revolved around it.
  2. Ghost Hunters by Ed and Lorraine Warren with Robert David Chase. This book is a focus on the cases worked on by the foremost authorities of ghost and the supernatural. One case in particular revolves around the Amityville case.
  3. The Deomonologist by Gerald Brittle. Similar to the above mentioned book it to is about the Warrens and focuses on many of their cases including The West Point Academy Case.

All of the above mentioned books are centered primarily around the Warrens who are world renowed ghost hunters. They have been in the spotlight with their work for many years and have delt with all types of manifisations, hauntings, poltergeist, and demons. So if this is your bag of tea I strongly urge you to pick up one or all of the mentioned books and read away. They also have two other books that I personally have not read as of yet (I'm too busy working on this page) and those are Graveyard and Werewolf. I will be making reference to them I'm sure at a later date.

Fiction

Now on to the show...Fiction books and novels...Among my favorite authors are Sephen King, John Saul, and Robert Curran. I am just going to highlight a few books by various authors that I found to be some of the best like I mentioned before I will be changing and refering to different books and authors as time goes by.

  1. Drawn to the Grave by Mary Ann Mitchell. This was a very interesting fantasy book I happened along when I needed to find something to read. Very dark in nature and with many cool plot twist. A different change for the ordinary.
  2. Revulation by Bently Little. Very scary book to say the least will keep you up at night. One of those stories you can't put down.
  3. The Unloved by John Saul. Great book from one of the best read it years ago and have never forgot about it since....

If there are any books that you have personally read or heard from the grapevine that are along these lines and you would like me to make note of them please either sign my guestbook or e-mail me with the title and possibly the author as well and I will check them out.
