SCREAM

It all started with a scream over 911.....don't answer the phone don't answer the door and don't SCREAM!!!!!

Scream the movie sensation of 1996 and why wouldn't it be....This movie had to be the most original horror movie in over a decade....with Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson on the job is was destand to be a success...

No other movie has taken us to the brink of terror as Scream has....from the opening scene to the final rain of terror from start to finnish it was a none stop roller coaster ride that left even me screaming.....

I for one LOVE horror movies but over the past 15 years they have become repetitive and quite frankly insulting especially for females....Let me explain females have always been made out to be dimwitted idiots and complete victums....come on how many women run through the woods with heels on and stumbel over every little twig until they are crawling backwards with their breast falling out of their shirts begging for mercy.....Even though a few of them died the women of Scream showed what a real woman would have done in the given situation....and that alone impressed me...It's just like Sidney said it's insulting!!!

The cast of Scream was the best and the characters were original yet very realistic....I can't really even say that I had a favorite because in their respective roles they were all outstanding...and all of them intertwinded beautifuly.

The best part of the movie had to be the opening scene!!! Drew Barrymore was sooo convincing in her role as Casy Becker and bought real fear into her character when the "voice'/killer kept calling her on the phone...I remember when I first went and saw Scream the first 15 minutes of the movie had me nearly crawling out of my seat...The best part of behind the scene info that I found out was that Wes Craven wouldn't let Drew meet the guy who did the voice in order to make it more convincing...and that it was...

The Cast List goes as such... Drew Barrymore...Casey Becker Neve Campbell...Sidney Prescott Skeet Ulrich...Billy Loomis Coutrney Cox...Gale Weathers Rose McGowen...Tatum Riley David Arquette...Dewy Riley Matthew Lillard...Stu Macher Jamie Kennedy...Randy Meeks W.Earl Brown...Kenny Joesph Whipp...Sherif Burke Leiv Schreiber...Cotton Weary

Ghostface now this was a killer with it all....from sarcastic certainty to clumsiness. You knew he wasn't a monster and wouldn't come back from the dead that is what made him so terrifying......He knew he would get you in the end...

On to the killers...Billy Loomis was a great killer...he had that mysterious quality about him with a sweet look which made you doubt his involvement...He made the perfect "Psycho" Killer...

Stu Stu Stu what's your motive..pure pressure..and some how I would believe that with this guy.Did you check out the attic room Sid was in before she fell out the window and notice all the dolls hanging by their necks someone's a little psycho...but he really made the killing team with all his short wit and humor.

And what about this third killer theory...there have been many floating out around the web and in my opinion I do believe that there is a third killer...there had to be and I do beiieve that it was Sidney's father Neil Prescott....for more info on this please visit my friend Juliu's Scream Trilogy page for lots of great facts and info on this movie...

SCREAM 2

Now let's talk sequals...or should I say carnage candy....For the second time in my opinion there has actually been a good sequal created..(the first being Friday the 13th part 2) but Scream 2 really outdid itself...as far as sequals goes...I personally liked the first one better but I will take nothing away from this movie it was exceptional....

The story itself picks up a year later with the survivors all returning to have the killing spree all start again this time though they are all in college and there has been a movieStab that was made off their first adventure for lack of better words.....The costume and voice changers are used again and once again the violence all centers around Sidney Prescott (this girl can't get a break)

One thing I am glad that they did was really introduce Cotton in this film...He made a great character and can't wait to see him in part 3

One thing I did notice in this film though that ghostface was alot more terrifying then in the orignial...he was much more brass and calculating in his killings....

On to the Cast... Neve Campbell...Sidney Prescott
Courtney Cox...Gale Weathers
David Arquette..Dewey Riley
Jamie Kennedy..Randy Meeks
Laurie Metcalf....Debbie Salts/Mrs.Loomis
Sarah Michelle Gellar..CiCi Cooper
Elise Neal...Hallie
Jerry O'Connell...Derek
Timothy Olyphant....Mickey
Jada Pinkett...Maureen Evans
Duanne Martin...Joel
Omar Epps...Phil Stevens
Liev Schreiber...Cotton Weary

On to the suspects...right deputy Dewey....Well from the word go everyone comes out looking like a suspect....

There is the obvious boyfriend Derek right....WRONG... anyone who watches horror movies should have realized of the get go they never would have used the boyfriend senerio again it's old...

On to the real killers....Mickey was obvious and I did not like him one bit especially his motive it was weak as far as I am concerned....but as far as Debbie Salts...a.k.a Mrs.Loomis...that was the kicker and that made the movie worth it she wasn't obvious and even thought of...her shy innocent reporter act was perfect....and the way Gale came out of that backdoor first really had me going...a good ending to a good movie...for more info on this movie as well as the first please take time to visit 1
