One More Song For You
Jim Carrey sang this song in the film Man On The Moon.
A n d y   K a u f m a n

ANDY: ... and, and, and ... (clears throat) I hope to
see you again soon, and I love you, and thank you
very much! Now, till we meet again ...

Well, it's time to say goodbye
It's been good having you so near
Although I've got to leave, it's the end
I'll always be staying right here

So, my friends, goodbye
It's just the right time
Wish that I could do
Just one more song for you

[Applause.]

ANDY: Goodbye, everybody, thank you! Goodnight!
    O.K., O.K.! Goodnight! I love ya! O.K., O.K.! Boy!
Goodbye! Boy, what a bunch of sheep! I tell you...

ANDY: Hi, Michael.

MICHAEL: Hi, Andy. Thanks for joining us. Do you

ANDY: Sure! Is it a sweet song?

MICHAEL: Yeah, it's real sweet.

ANDY: O.K.!

[They laugh.]

MICHAEL:
In this friendly, friendly world
With each day so full of joy
Why should any heart be lonely?

ANDY: My turn!
In this friendly, friendly world
With each night so full of dreams
Why should any heart be afraid?

The world is ...

MICHAEL & ANDY:
... such a wonderful place
To wander through
When you've got someone you love

MICHAEL:
To wander along with you

ANDY: O.K., now take every second word! With ...

MICHAEL: Yup!

TONY: Oh yeah?! What's so friendly about it?!!
This is Tony Clifton, and, and I demand a part in
this song! I'm just as big a part of the movie as
these guys are! And, and I will not sit back while
some sought-after Colonel Kurtz wanna-be, uh, uh
has his day in the sun! I think he's enough
boring! I think, um, uh-uh, Michael here should, uh
sit this one out! At least the next verse, or so!

ANDY: Is that O.K., Michael?

MICHAEL: O.K.

ANDY: I don't think you have a choice.

MICHAEL: (laughs) O.K.

TONY:
The world is such a wonderful place
Ha! to wander a-through!
Ah, when you've got someone you luh-huuuv
Ah, to wander along, ah, with yooo-hoooooo!
    O.K., you go...

MICHAEL: With the sky so full of stars
ANDY: And the river so full of song
MICHAEL: Welcome back, Andy. Every heart should be ...
MICHAEL & ANDY: ... so thankful

ANDY: Thankful for this friendly, friendly world
    Thank you, Michael!

MICHAEL: Thanks, Andy!

ANDY: Thank you all for this friendly, friendly world!

TONY: Thanks for nothing! K, where's the girls?
They in a chopper? The guy's got a chopper, right?

I Will Survive
Jim Carrey sang this song in the film Man On The Moon.
T o n y   C l i f t o n

First I was afraaaaid
I was pyoo-trified
Kept thinking I could never live
Ah, without you by my sy-eeed
But then I spent so many nights
Ah, thinking how you did me wrong
And I ... grew ... STRONG!
And I learned to get along

And now you're back
From outer space
I just walked in to find you here
With that sad look upon your face
I should have changed that stupid lock
I should have asked you for the key
If I had known for just one second
You'd be back to bother me

Go on now, GO! Walk out the door!
Don't turn around now
You're not welcome anymore
Weren't you the one that tried to hurt me with goodbye
You think I'd crum-bill
Did you think I'd lay down and die

Oh no, not I
I will sur-vee-heeeev
As long as i know how to love
I know I will stay a-leeeev
I've got all my life to live
I've got all my love to give
I will sur-vee-hee-heeeev!
I will sur-vee-hee-heeeev!
I will sur-vee-hee-heeeev!
I ... a-will ... sur-veeeeeeeeeeeeeeev!!!

Heeeey...Ah!!!
I will sur-veev!
I will sur-veev!
I will sur-veev!
I will sur-vee-hee-hee-hee-hee-hee-hee-hee-hee-heev!

[Heavy applause...]

MILK & COOKIES
R . E . M .

[...Heavy applause.]

ANDY: Since you've all been such good boys and girls,
I would like to take everybody in this entire
audience out for milk and cookies! There are
    busses outside! Everybody, follow me!!!

    ...

Don't worry, folks! There's enough milk and
    cookies for everyone!

Rose Marie
Jim Carrey sang this song in the film Man On The Moon.
ROSE MARIE
A n d y   K a u f m a n

[As piano is played, audience laughs.]

La da da da da, da da da da da da
Oh Rose, my Rose Marie

[Light applause.]

Oh Rose Marie, I love you
I'm always dreaming of you
No matter what I do, I can't forget you
Sometimes I wish that I never met you

And yet, if I should lose you
Would mean my very life to me
Of all the queens that ever lived, I choose you
To rule me, my Rose Marie

Of all the queens that ever lived, I choose you
To rule me, my Rose Marie

La da da da da, da da da da da da
Oh Rose, my Rose Marie

[Heavy applause.]

I  ATHE  WALRUS
This is the Beatles' song that Jim Carrey performed on the record In My Life.

I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together.
See how they run like pigs from a gun, see how they fly.
I'm crying.
Sitting on a cornflake, waiting for the van to come.
Corporation tee-shirt, stupid bloody Tuesday.
Man, you been a naughty boy, you let your face grow long.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen.
I am the walrus, goo goo g'joob.
Mister City Policeman sitting
Pretty little policemen in a row.
See how they fly like Lucy in the Sky, see how they run.
I'm crying, I'm crying.
I'm crying.
Yellow matter custard, dripping from a dead dog's eye.
Crabalocker fishwife, pornographic priestess,
Boy, you been a naughty girl you let your knickers down.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen.
I am the walrus, goo goo g'joob.
Sitting in an English garden waiting for the sun.
If the sun don't come, you get a tan
From standing in the English rain.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen.
I am the walrus, goo goo g'joob g'goo goo g'joob.
Expert textpert choking smokers,
Don't you thing the joker laughs at you?
See how they smile like pigs in a sty,
See how they snied.
I'm eh eh eh.
Semolina pilchard, climbing up the Eiffel Tower.
Elementary penguin singing Hari Krishna.
Man, you should have seen them kicking Edgar Alan Poe. Ahhhh...
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen.
I am the walrus, goo goo g'joob g'goo goo g'joob.
Goo goo g'joob g'goo goo g'joob g'goo.
Goo goo g'joob g'goo goo g'joob g'goo.

CUBAN  PETE
Jim Carrey sang this song in the film The Mask.

Hit it!
They call me Cuban Pete
I'm the king of the Rumba beat
When I play the maracas I go
Chic-chic-ky-boom
Chic-chic-ky-boom
Yes sir, I'm Cuban Pete
I'm the craze of my native street
When I start to dance everything goes
Chic-chic-ky-boom
Chic-chic-ky-boom
The senioritas they sing
And they swing with "terampero"
It's very nice! So full of spice!
And when they dance in they bring
A happy ring that "era keros"
Are singing a song
All the day long
So if you like the beat
Take a lesson from Cuban Pete
And I'll teach you to
Chic-chic-ky-boom
Chic-chic-ky-boom
Chic-chic-ky-boom
He's a really modest guy
Although he's the hottest guy
In Havana, in Havana
Si, seniorita I know
That you would like a Chic-ky-boom-chick
It's very nice - so full of spice
I'll place my hand on your hip
And if you will just give me your hand
Then we shall try
Just you and I
"Iy-yi-yi!"
"Shake your booty, daddy, wow! See ya'!"

SOMEBODY  TLOVE
This song is sung by Jim Carrey in the film The Cable Guy.

Prolog
You might recognize this song as performed by Jefferson Airplane about the Rolling Stones and their nightmare at Altimont.
That night the Oakland Chapter of the Hell's Angeles had their way.
Tonight...It's my turn!

When the truth is called to be lies
And all the joy within you dies
Don't you want somebody to love
Don't you need somebody to love
Wouldn't you love somebody to love
You better find somebody to love

Don't take no for an answer

When the garden flowers, They are dead, yes
And your mind, your mind, Is so full of dread, yeah

Don't you want somebody to love
Don't you need somebody to love
I'd really like somebody to love
But it's hard to find somebody to love

Your eyes, I say your eyes may look asleep
Yeah, but in your head baby I'm afraid you don't know where it is

Don't you want somebody to love
Don't don't don't don't you need somebody to love
Wouldn't you love somebody to love
You better find somebody to love

Don't take the green acid,
That's for the base player
Sh D-dow Sh D-dow...
Ha ha ha!
Yeeeaaaahhh!

Tears are running, they're running down your breast,
And your friends baby they treat you like a guest, yeah

Don't you want somebody to love
Don't you need somebody to love
I would really like somebody to love
But it's hard to find somebody to love

We just had a baby born in the left side of the party,
Ladies and Gentlemen,
We need an ambulance near the scaffolding!
Oh, my little baby,
Hey get off the stage, get off the stage man!
Allright! Unless you have a pass, you are an audience member,
You do not have access to this area.
Wow! That guy just got stabbed,
Do you see that?
I think we're gettin' a little outta hand here
Wow! Who hired the security on this gig, man?
They are a motorcycle gang!
C'mon!

HEAVEN  DOWN  HERE
Jim Carrey and Phil Roy wrote this love ballad, which was performed by Tuck & Patti, a New Age duet from San Francisco, on their album Learning How To Fly.
The title of this song came from Jim and Phil (they were roommates when Jim moved to Los Angeles in the early 80's) who had just bought an 18th century painting and were trying to hang it. Phil told Jim he couldn't see the top half and that he should move Heaven down here.
"Be careful who you play that for, because you might never be able to get rid of them" - Jim Carrey about this song.
What are you waiting for,
Believe in me
Isn't it love in this life that you need
You can offer your soul to an altar of sacrifice
But give your heart to me

Let's bring heaven down here
Let's bring Heaven on down
I don't want to wait for angels
Let's bring Heaven down here

What's in the sky that you and I can't find
Simply in love what could be more divine
How can I make you believe forever and ever more
I'll give my love to you

Let's bring heaven down here
Let's bring Heaven on down
I don't want to wait for angels
Let's bring Heaven down here

Can I lay you down
Don't you know salvation is the warmth of my embrace
Let me touch your lips
Kiss the moonlight on your face
I need you now
I need you now

What are you waiting for
Believe in me
Isn't it love in this life that you need
You can offer your soul to an altar of sacrifice
But give your heart to me

Let's bring heaven down here
Let's bring Heaven on down
I don't want to wait for angels
Let's bring Heaven down here
