PLOT-In the bleak dark future, the governor's mistress saves the city's homeless underground dwellers from certain economic destruction.
WHY YOU SHOULD WATCH IT-Julie Strain. She is awesome in everything she is in, even if the movie itself isn't so great. She's at the point now where she's so good that she makes everyone else look bad. Roger Corman produced this movie, and you can tell. It's pretty cheap looking despite some great editing, costumes, and fight scenes.
DOWNSIDE-The DVD claims to have a "feature length commentary track by Julie Strain" but it doesn't. She does narrate the actual film, but that cannot begin to qualify as a commentary track. The disc has one audio track and that's the movie itself.
NOTES-If for no other reason, rent this DVD for the incredible Julie Strain interview segment. It's very very very good, lasting at least 30 minutes. She talks about her career, all the movies, and even gives a detailed tour of her home. Fans will definitely not want to miss this! It kills the one on the HEAVY METAL 2000 disc.
