THE EROTIC MIRROR
PLOT-A woman puchases an antique mirror that has mysterious erotic powers.
VIOLENCE-Absolute zero.
SEX/NUDITY-Numerous scenes of naked women doing softcore lesbonics to each other.
WHY I BOUGHT IT-Although Seduction Cinema hasn't released anything great in a while, I was compelled to pick this one up because it featured so many of my favorite actors from their original batch of awesome films. Laurie Wallace (EROTIC WITCH PROJECT) stars, along with Ruby LaRocca (formerly known as Esmerelda DeLa Rocca), Jade Duboir (MISTRESS FRANKENSTEIN), AJ Khan (EROTIC WITCH 2), and small roles by Darian Caine (GLADIATOR EROTICUS) and Debbie Rochon (EROTIC SURVIVOR). Plus, it was directed by Pete Jacelone, who made the first Seduction Cinema film I ever saw, PSYCHO SISTERS.
THE DOPE-This movie has a serious tone, which is one strke against it, because I'm a huge fan of the Seduction Cinema comedies of the past. It's like something you'd see on Cinemax. The only neat thing about it is that it has great actors, and for some reason the mirror only makes women like other women. So maybe that was funny, but probably not intentionally. I'd bet money that Jacelone would've rather not made a sex movie, I'm sure if he had his way it's have been more of a horror flick. But he's working for Seduction Cinema, yo. Actually the best part of this $12.99 DVD are the extras, which include a lot of on-set footage and interviews. You find out a lot about the actors & filmmakers, and get interesting answers to solid questions. Plus, a lot of the goofing off is genuinely entertaining, and makes me nostalgic for the good ol' days of Seduction Cinema.
MEMORABLE SCENES-In the behind-the-scenes footage, Darian Caine runs into a room wearing nothing but a t-shirt. She yells, "alright class! Look at the blackboard!" like she's a teacher. That woman is hilarious, I swear.
DVD NOTES-The DVD has a bunch of on-set footage, divided into 3 sections on the disc. Also there are several trailers for the latest Seduction films, but no previews for upcoming releases.
