EROTIC WITCH PROJECT PLOT-Three college coeds disappeared in the woods while making a documentary of the legendary "Erotic Witch". Three weeks later, their video footage was found. VIOLENCE-None. However, the scars & tattoos on these girls may cause you to wince. SEX/NUDITY-This film is as close to real porn as any softie I've ever watched. It features many long scenes of the lead actresses stripping, masturbating, and getting each other off. WHY I LIKED IT-Instead of going for the comedic approach like Jim Wynorski's BARE WENCH PROJECT, this movie focuses on the sex. Although I liked Jim's movie better, I still must admit this one kicks some serious hiney. At first it seemed like just more of the same thing. The girls talk to dumb ass redneck locals, start getting turned on by the witch's erotic power, and find dildos & blowup dolls outside their tent. However, that's where the similarities end. These girls (although less attractive than Julie K. Smith & friends) are good at acting horny. They make it scary somehow, too. To make a long story short, this movie delivers on at least one level that BARE WENCH did not: Softie action! DOWNSIDE-For some reason, the filmmakers abandoned trying to make this a direct BLAIR WITCH PROJECT parody. Instead, they take the premise and screw with it too much. For instance, they have an absurd subplot about an escaped gorilla running amuck in the woods. He (a guy in a suit) steals the girls' clothes and one of their cameras. He films them having sex and makes stupid monkey sounds. To me, this cheapened the whole movie. Shooting on videotape is fine because it makes it look like a real documentary, but putting shit like that in there is idiotic. The movie bounced from comedy to soft-porn, and then back & forth. And, like I said before, the girls were good actors but didn't look like no college coeds. More like strippers! MEMORABLE SCENES-We are given what could only be described as "the ultimate payoff", as the actresses end up in a threesome. And they do it twice. NOTES-The "Uncut Collector's Edition" tape featured a 45-minute making-of segment after the movie (which itself was like 80 minutes long). There aren't really any interviews with the filmmakers, just more lesbian stuff and some goofing off on the set.
