LETHAL SEDUCTION PLOT-A cop suspects a mysterious sexy woman of systematically killing members of a crime outfit. VIOLENCE-There's a bloody shootout at the end where someone gets a bullet right between the eyes. Other than that, I can't recall anything particularly violent happening. SEX/NUDITY-The usual, a couple naked strippers in a bar scene, and lots of butt naked sex featuring the star of the show, Julie Strain. WHAT WAS GOOD ABOUT IT-As mentioned above, Julie Strain is the only good thing about this movie. She's a great actor and just explodes with talent on the screen. She plays her character very well, and lends a level of quality to an otherwise worthless film. The real reason to get this disc is for the "Hanging With Julie" bonus feature. It's great. You get brief interviews with Mrs. Strain, an interview with her mom (!), and footage of her clowning around (and urinating) on the photo shoot for the cover box of this dvd. She's so entertaining. Fans will love watching this. WHAT SUCKED ABOUT IT-First off, this movie is NOT a new release. Although packaged by SHOCK-O-RAMA CINEMA (a division of Seduction Cinema) with new artwork and the Strain featurette, this is just a 1996 movie with substandard production values. Some of it is shot on low-quality film and some is shot with a video camera. That was weird. The story, script, acting, and direction are not very good. It copies early 90's "Basic Instinct" rip-offs, and is even worse than all the made-for-cable erotic thrillers that were made in the wake of that film. NOTES-The band that did the music for the Julie Strain featurette on this disc is Texas Terri and The Stiff Ones. My band actually opened for them in Atlanta on their last tour. Just though I'd mention that.
